Saying goodbye to a loved family member or friend is hard. There are many ways to mark the moment. I recently wrote a ceremony of life for a wonderful Bristolian, Patricia Mary Macey. What a life Pat had. Well lived with plenty of giggles on the way. These are the thoughts of her daughter, Vicky:

“We instructed Sarah-Jane as the celebrant for our Mums Celebration of Life event which took place in November 2025. Sarah-Jane was fantastic, she was so warm and friendly and conducted a personalised ceremony that really did justice for mum reflecting on many of our fond memories. Having Sarah-Jane there meant we felt at ease with the running order enabling us to lean-in to the event and remember mum in the manner we really wanted to”.
