We’re looking for a Head of Production & Operations to join our busy team here at Bakehouse Factory!

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced live events leader to take ownership of the delivery of hundreds of events across one full annual cycle – including our peak Christmas season.

You’ll oversee every stage of delivery, from confirmed sale through design, build and installation to live operation and de-rig, leading our Heads of Installations, Design, Workshop and Project Management along the way.

As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll hold responsibility for the operational calendar, delivery budgets and event safety, while acting as a senior point of decision-making for some of our biggest projects, clients and live events.

This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time role, based at our HQ in Bristol, running from December 2026 to December 2027.

We’re looking for a Technical Production Lead to join our busy team here at Bakehouse Factory!

You’ll be working alongside the Creative Technology Lead to plan and execute the technical production behind our exciting projects.

From integrating tech into bespoke set pieces and installations to producing quotes for our design and production teams, the role plays a key part in bringing our creative experiences to life and managing tech across the company.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a good understanding of sound, lighting, electronics and wiring alongside budgeting, planning and scheduling.

This is a permanent full-time role based at our HQ in Bristol.

Our Natural History Museum ABC Trail has officially arrived at Westgate Oxford! 🐋🪸

We're incredibly proud to have brought this experience to life alongside Natural History Museum, London. The trail features 26 interactive installations inspired by the natural world, encouraging families to explore, move and problem-solve!

This exciting partnership takes the Natural History Museum's world-famous collections beyond the Museum walls, helping to inspire new audiences through an interactive family trail in the heart of Oxford. 🗺

This has been such a special project for our team and we can't wait to see visitors making memories all summer long.

Storybook adventures are popping up all over National Trust properties this summer… 📚🍃✨

Families can wriggle their was through The Very Hungry Caterpillar Trail at Polesden Lacey NT 🐛, brave a bear hunt at Cliveden National Trust or The Vyne - National Trust or set off on a magical journey with the Moomins at Hatchlands Park ✨.

As the programme continues to grow, we’re seeing fantastic results across visitor engagement, merchandise sales and visitor satisfaction, alongside brilliant feedback from both property teams and visitors. It’s incredibly rewarding to see families exploring, playing and connecting with these stories in such beautiful outdoor settings.

A huge thank you to all of the National Trust teams who have helped bring these programmes to life.

After HUGE success in Easter 2025, the UK’s largest Easter Egg rolled back to Merry Hill for 9 days of EGGstra special Easter fun! 🐣✨

Enjoyed by over 21,000 visitors and standing at an impressive 5 metres tall, our Giant Egg returned with a bold new look – only this time it was EGGS-perimental! Our Eggs-perts were on hand, warmly inviting visitors to engage in the eggs-periments and leave their unique mark on the special egg!

Our much-loved ‘Good Egg Rewards’ celebrated and surprised special members of the local community with well-deserved treats 💛

Visitors also had the chance to take part in a centre-wide trail – spotting 9 different Easter eggs (all designed by members of the local community!) and collecting clues to crack the hidden message and bag their take-home prize.
