๐๐ถโโ๏ธ Headway Charity Walk โ February ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐
This February Iโll be taking on the Headway charity walk challenge, and this one is incredibly close to my heart โค๏ธ
Many years ago, my step-dad was tragically hit by a drunk driver while walking home from work. The impact was at around 70 miles an hour ๐ฅ. He was thrown through a windscreen and suffered devastating injuries, including a frontal lobe brain injury ๐ง โ the part of the brain responsible for thought processes, personality, decision-making and behaviour.
He was placed in a coma ๐ and had to relearn everything โ how to walk ๐ถโโ๏ธ, talk ๐ฃ๏ธ, use the toilet, and live life again. His world, and ours, changed forever.
What makes it even harder to comprehend is that the drunk driver walked away with a broken arm.
Before the accident, my dad was a highly successful oil scientist and, more importantly, a truly kind, gentle, wonderful man ๐. What he has endured since โ and the strength he has shown โ is nothing short of incredible ๐ช. As a family, we are beyond proud of him and every challenge he has faced and overcome ๐
Headway is an incredible charity that supports people and families affected by brain injury ๐ง ๐ โ offering rehabilitation, support, guidance and hope when itโs needed most.
So, for Headwayโฆ and for Dadโฆ Iโll be completing the Headway challenge this February ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐
If youโre able to sponsor me โ even a small amount โ it would mean the world ๐ Every donation helps Headway continue their life-changing work ๐

That's why I'm walking 90km in February and raising lifesaving funds for Headway UK - the brain injury a...
