Introducing Smolensky Gallery

Joining Art Yard Sale this year, Smolensky Gallery is an independent contemporary gallery founded in Manchester in 2020 with a mission to make the art world more accessible to a wider audience.⁣

Championing both emerging and blue-chip artists, the gallery showcases an eclectic mix of originals, editions and rare works - supporting new talent while also bringing sought-after names to collectors across the UK.⁣

At the Art Yard Sale, Smolensky Gallery will be presenting a curated selection including works and ephemera by artists such as Banksy, Yosh*tomo Nara, Damien Hirst and Jenny Holzer.⁣

Sarah Arnett’s ‘Fern Flora Day’ and ‘Fern Flora Night’ are inspired by the folklore of the fern flower - a mysterious bloom believed to appear only briefly on Midsummer’s Eve, bringing great fortune to whoever found it.⁣
⁣
Emerging from layers of cyanotyped fern leaves, these imagined forest goddesses are shaped through sun and shadow, suspended somewhere between nature, dream and myth.⁣
⁣
Available individually or as a pair, each print is produced in an edition of 60 on cotton acid-free fine art paper.⁣
⁣

First time at the Art Yard Sale for… Adam Bridgland!⁣
⁣
is a British contemporary artist and printmaker known for witty, nostalgic works that blend typography with graphic art.⁣
⁣
A graduate of the Royal College of Art, his work has been exhibited internationally and is held in major collections including the British Museum and the V&A. Alongside his studio practice, he has completed commissions for brands and organisations including YouTube, Comme Des Garçons, Soho House, Teenage Cancer Trust and Unilever.⁣
⁣
Bold, playful and instantly recognisable, Adam’s work combines humour, design and cultural references with a strong graphic edge.⁣
