Our Scottish bakery is based 20 minutes outside Glasgow in a tiny place called Quarriers Village. We used to run a busy cafe from our Quarriers premises, plus another cafe in Killearn and a takeaway shop in Glasgow's West End. In the aftermath of the Covid pandemic we decided to "pivot" our business to make it more family friendly - we have eight children between us and realised during the Covid

shutdown that we had built a business that didn't allow us enough time with our kids. We now operate purely as a bakery - selling postal Cake Gift Boxes via our wesbite; visiting Farmer's Markets across Central Scotland and supplying wholesale cakes to other cafes, shops & restaurants🍰 Most importantly, we've found a better life/ work balance as working Mums💖. Anyone else trying to get back in routine after kids summer hols?! I love the holidays and I love routine - but I HATE the in between bit where you’re trying to find your groove again. So instead of doing routine things I should be doing I’m taking a minute to reflect on our summer. There were highs and lows, some kid/work juggling, lots of sun and lots of rain, lots of laughs and LOADS of memories made 😊🥲❤️

Our cookie slices taste AMAZING hot!! I urge you to get yourself to a market, buy a cookie slice, take it home, stick it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and for extra impact serve with ice cream. Promise you won’t regret it. Whenever I work at a market or event I tell customers this, but I don’t feel like I’m spreading the word far and wide enough 😬 I’ve thought about creating a flyer to hand out with every slice of cookie, no jokes!! Any other ideas?? Town crier? Ice “heat me” on every single slice!?! 🤯🤯

Things we’re bad and good at - Turns out I could make a long post all about the things we’re not very good at 😬 Held some back for next time! One of the downsides of running a business with family is that those bad traits, passed down through the genes, were passed to us ALL 😬
