When people think of my pop-up bookshop, they often imagine picture books and primary schools… but did you know I also work with secondary schools?

From gripping thrillers and fantasy to romance, graphic novels and thought-provoking reads, there’s something to tempt even the most reluctant reader.

The best part?

✨ I can run a completely hassle-free book event where I do all the hard work. You simply choose a date, provide a space, and then enjoy choosing your FREE books afterwards.

OR…

📖 If you’re a secondary school librarian and don’t want to run an event, you can place a direct order with me and still earn FREE books for your library on top.

You can tell a child they should read…

OR you can put a brilliant selection of books in front of them and watch what happens. 👀📚

That’s one of my favourite things about bringing my pop-up bookshop into schools.

Children browse.

They pick books up.

They show their friends.

You hear, “LOOK AT THIS ONE!” from across the room. 😂

And suddenly books aren’t something they’ve been told to read… they’re something everyone is talking about.

✨ That excitement is infectious.

And the best bit for schools?

I make the whole thing as hassle-free as possible. I bring the books, set everything up, run the fair, pack it all away AND your school can earn FREE BOOKS to choose for your own shelves. 🙌📚

Because sometimes a reluctant reader doesn’t need convincing to read…

They just need to meet THEIR book. ❤️

Five years ago, if you’d told me THIS would be my job, I probably would have laughed. 😂📚

I didn’t start because I had some huge business plan.

I didn’t have sales experience.

I didn’t really know what I was doing. 🤣

I just said YES to a box of books… and somehow that little decision completely changed what work looks like for me. 💛

Now I have a business that fits around my family, rather than trying to squeeze my family around a job.

✨ School assemblies? I’m there.
✨ Sports days? I’m there.
✨ School holidays? No annual leave form required. 🙌
✨ Random Tuesday afternoon family thing? I can make it work.
✨ Want to work more and earn more? I can.
✨ Need to slow down because family life is CHAOS? I can do that too.

And somewhere along the way, this became more than “selling books”.

It became my income, my confidence, my community and a job I genuinely LOVE. 🥰📚

And to think… it all started with one slightly terrifying “go on then!” 😂

POV: You start a little book business for some extra money… and somehow THIS becomes a day at work 😂📚

Sometimes “office” is a fabulous collab with Little City and honestly… I’m not sure messing around in a mini city, chatting to lovely families and being surrounded by books was what I pictured when I started my Usborne business 🤣

But THIS is exactly why I love it.

📚 I choose the events I want to attend
🥰 I work with brilliant local businesses
👧 My girls can come along with me
💷 I earn extra income for our family
⏰ And I fit it all around actual life

Five years ago I said yes to a box of books with absolutely NO idea where it would take me.

Turns out… quite a lot of very random places 😂

And with the busiest few months of the year coming up, now is SUCH an exciting time to start 👀🎄📚
