❤️ A little DaChi update…
We have been doing a lot of thinking recently about what the next chapter looks like for us, both as a business and as a family.
DaChi has been such a huge part of our lives for many years. We have cooked in your homes, celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, engagements and countless special occasions with you, and we are incredibly proud of what we have built.
But the reality is that DaChi, in its current form, asks a lot of us.
Most of our work happens at weekends, which also happens to be the time we want to spend creating memories with our own young family.
For a long time we thought the answer would be to grow the team, run multiple events at once and allow DaChi to become bigger than David and me. But hospitality is incredibly personal, and we have always struggled with the idea of handing over something we have spent years building and simply hoping that every experience would feel exactly as we intended it to.
So we have made peace with the fact that DaChi has probably reached the ceiling of what we want it to become.
That does not mean we are disappearing tomorrow. ❤️
But it does mean that over the coming months we will gradually be taking fewer and fewer bookings as we make space for our family and for our next business, Alphabet Dating Co.
Some of you may already have seen us talking about Alphabet Dating, which helps couples with children at home make time for each other and go out and experience life together again.
And strangely, it feels very connected to the decision we are making ourselves.
We are encouraging other couples to make time for each other and their families, and we also need to make sure we are doing the same.
So this is really just an early little heads up.
If having DaChi cook for you has been sitting on your “one day” list, one day probably needs to become sooner rather than later.
We are not quite at goodbye yet.
But we are definitely entering the home stretch. ❤️
