🚂 A Massive Thank You, Preston! ❤️🏁

​What a wonderful day we had at Cottam Community Centre yesterday! We have finished packing away the final loops of our 500ft railway empire, and we want to say a huge thank you to every family who came down to join the crew for our May Half-Term Special. 🏰✨

​Even though the platform was a little quieter than usual this time around, it turned out to be an absolute blessing for the children who attended. Our little engineers had unprecedented space on the mats to build some of the biggest, most creative track networks we have seen all year! From high-speed races on the train rollercoaster to cozy moments shared in our new Reading Corner, the atmosphere was beautifully relaxed and full of smiles. It was the perfect reminder of why we love bringing these hands-on, traditional play experiences to our local communities.

​The coffee is steaming, the rollercoaster is polished, and 500 feet of track is winding its way all across Cottam Community Centre! The setup is officially complete and our railway empire is ready for action. 🏰✨

​We have looked at the station log this morning and it is looking incredibly quiet on the platform today! If you have been sitting on the fence about half-term plans, or are currently looking at the kids wondering how to fill the morning, this is your sign to get out of the house. Because we have very few booked on, we have heaps of extra track room for some truly massive, creative builds.

​You can just roll up and join the crew! We have card machines on the door and plenty of space for turn-ups.

While the rest of the Northwest is still hitting the snooze button this half-term Wednesday, we are pushing ahead to get the tracks laid out for a brilliant morning of play. 🏰✨

​By the time you have finished breakfast, we will have transformed the hall into a 500ft railway empire. It is the perfect mid-week treat for your little engineers to step away from the screens and dive into some traditional, hands-on creativity. They can explore over 100 trains, race down our famous train rollercoaster, or take a cozy story-time break in our brand-new Reading Corner. Because things are looking a bit quieter on the platform today, there is heaps of extra room for truly massive track builds! ⚽ Wanderers in the Capital! 🚂

​It is a very slow start for the management team this morning! We swapped the blue tracks for the white shirts this weekend as we travelled down to London to follow Bolton Wanderers to Wembley!

​Neil is currently nursing a very sore head after giving it his absolute all in the stands yesterday. He claims his brain feels like a steam hammer is running inside it! Thankfully, Emily is powering through with her usual can-do attitude, armed with bacon butties and strong tea to get us on the mainline train home.

​A massive thank you to Willow for holding the fort back at the engine shed and giving Whistle her weekend spa treatment! We just hope Smokey hasn't caused too much mechanical mischief while we’ve been away...

​What an absolutely unbelievable afternoon at Wembley! While we spend our weekends building massive railway empires, our eyes have been firmly fixed on the big match today, and we are completely over the moon to see Steven Schumacher guide the super Whites back into the Championship with that magnificent 4-1 victory over Stockport County. 🏁🏰

​The energy across the town right now is absolutely electric, and it is brilliant to see the gaffer and the lads secure promotion after such a hard-fought season. We know so many of our regular track-play families were either down in London building that famous 'White Wall' or cheering from the living room, and we hope you are all celebrating a massive piece of local history tonight!
