Entries for the Stans Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dash close tomorrow night - and with lots of new followers here, we thought we’d share a quick history of the event.

Our only Dirt Dash outside Scotland grew out of Markus’ work developing a network of cycling routes for Route YC. After a great press trip, and with support from our long-term partner Komoot, we launched the Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dash in 2024.

The first route was based on the Route YC Adventure Weekender, but it has evolved every year since. We’ve seen plenty of smiling faces on the press trip and at the last two Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dashes - and we can’t wait to welcome you to on Saturday morning for a brilliant weekend of riding bikes.

Entries cost £99, including dinner, camping, breakfast and snacks, plus professionally planned routes and event photography.

We can’t do much about the weather, but for everything else, your enjoyment is our first priority.

When you have a question after signing up, you’ll speak to a real person who is happy to help. We professionally plan our routes and work with local communities to make sure you have an authentic experience. While you’re out riding, you’ll meet us along the way — either with a camera, or with a cargo bike or van if your bike gives up.

We love chatting about adventures at the campsite, and we’ll be there to give you a warm welcome when you return.

Our Dirt Dashes are small — proudly so. Everyone who joins us deserves to be much more than a timing chip or number plate.

Many of our riders return year after year, bringing friends and becoming part of a growing community of people who share a love of adventure, exploration, and good company.

We’ve finalised the Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dash route.

Day 1 features 65 km with 800 m of climbing, while Day 2 packs in 63 km and 900 m of ascent.

What makes Dirt Dash special is that every route is different. This year, we’ll take you through some of our favourite corners of the North York Moors National Park and along the Yorkshire Coast, while keeping the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that all our events have in common.

Join us on 13–14 June at for a weekend of gravel riding, great company and memorable trails.
