When someone you love dies, and you are an only child, dealing with everything becomes consuming, you are in a constant fog, trying to push things away down deep to stop feeling, to deal with what has happened, to try and get through each day. It’s overwhelming, emotional, painful. It’s difficult to contemplate having fun.
Tonight I was made to go out, to watch Production of ‘Rock of Ages’ and what a show!!
With everything going on, I hadn’t realised dates were this week. Anyway, all I can say is team Cre8iv, thanks for bringing so much joy to my chaos.
School of Rock was off the scale, but this from the adult cast was just brilliant. It was so good to see everyone performing, the live band, the dancing, lighting, - not knowing the show before hand or musical numbers just hearing so many of the songs I grew up with - you know those huge classic rock numbers from the late 80’s and 90’s brought back so many happy memories and moments in life.
The show is on until Saturday night. Get your inner rock chick dressed up and go rock out! Few Tickets available https://www.cre8ivlittletheatre.co.uk/events/rock-of-ages-the-musical/
This was just what I needed to feel alive tonight, to enjoy some time away focusing on death, because we all have to carry on regardless. The world keeps turning no matter what is going on in someone’s life.
Sometimes you just need to be in the moment to breathe. This moment was rock music, always my happy place!
