Three Silent Discos. One Incredible Venue.

Join us on Saturday 26th September as the spectacular Blackburn Cathedral Crypt is transformed into the ultimate dance floor for three unforgettable Silent Discos!

With atmospheric lighting, historic surroundings and three music channels to choose from, it's a night out unlike any other.

Our sessions include:

1pm - 3pm Family Silent Disco – Fun for all ages with music everyone will love.

4pm - 7pm 70s vs 80s Silent Disco – Which decade will you choose? Switch between channels and dance to your favourite hits.

8pm - 11pm 80s, 90s, 00s Bangers Silent Disco – From iconic dance anthems to floor-fillers, this is the perfect way to round off the day.

Pop on your headphones, choose your soundtrack and experience the unique atmosphere of dancing beneath the vaulted ceilings of the Cathedral Crypt. Whether you're singing your heart out, dancing with friends or introducing the family to the magic of a silent disco, it's an event you won't want to miss.

This summer, Blackburn Cathedral invites you to experience a traditional Afternoon Tea served at The Table for the Nation – a stunning, handcrafted 13m table made from 5,000 year old ancient Fenland Black Oak.

Friends, families and guests can come together to enjoy exceptional food in a truly unique setting. Set within the magnificent surroundings of one of the region's most iconic buildings, this truly is afternoon tea with a difference.

Your Afternoon Tea
Each beautifully presented afternoon tea (1 afternoon tea stand will be created for 2 people) will include:
Four freshly prepared finger sandwiches per person
Homemade sausage roll
Savoury quiche
A selection of freshly made cakes and sweet treats
A traditional fruit scone served with strawberry jam and clotted cream
Unlimited tea and freshly brewed filter coffee

Everything is freshly prepared by the Cathedral's catering team using quality ingredients and served on elegant afternoon tea stands.

Friday, 15 May 2026 - The Drifters

The Drifters are back on tour in the UK performing all their classic hits including ‘Saturday Night at the Movies', ‘You’re More Than A Number,’ ‘Come on Over to My Place’, ‘Under the Boardwalk’, ‘Kissin’ In The Back Row’ and many more!

​The legendary group have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, performed for the President of the United States and listed among the Greatest Artists of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine.

​Under the guidance of Tina Treadwell (daughter of the group’s original founders, George & Faye Treadwell) The Drifters have enjoyed a remarkable resurgence in recent years with multiple successful UK tours including headline shows in major arenas and, most notably, the world famous Royal Albert Hall in London for the first ever time in the group’s glittering career. “I am thrilled with the success of our recent UK tours and we invite you all to join us in continuing to celebrate this incredible and everlasting story of The Drifters.” Said Tina, speaking about the tour.
