Last week I was essentially operating in chaos mode 😄

Events season + house move was not my finest strategic decision.

BUT.

We’ve now exchanged contracts and suddenly I feel like a different person.

Why?

Because I’ve written a list.
And I’ve got a plan 👊

It’s amazing how quickly stress drops once things feel organised.

Which, when I think about it, is probably why I love the events industry.

The best events are exactly the same.

Clear plans.
Organised people.
Good communication.

And no drama.

Because individually?

Both are stressful enough.

Together?

Absolute chaos.

One minute I’m sorting freelancers, schedules and event details…

The next I’m surrounded by boxes wondering why I own seventeen chargers for things I no longer have.

So I’ve finally taken my own advice and brought someone in to help me 👊

because talent needs handling.

This week’s Maverick on Monday is all about Artist Liaison.

High-profile speakers.
Professional artists.

All part of the mix… right?

But when something shifts — even slightly — you feel it.

A late arrival.
A last-minute request.
A change that wasn’t in the brief.

Everything’s still technically on track…

But the energy has changed.

Talent isn’t difficult.

But it does need handling properly.

Because when someone on stage isn’t comfortable, it doesn’t stay contained.

It ripples.

The difference isn’t reacting when something goes wrong.

It’s having someone there who’s already managing the relationship,
keeping things aligned, and quietly protecting the moment.
