Picking an illustrator for your event is the same as picking any other supplier!
First ~ is their art style what you are looking for? Does it make you happy to look at? Are you looking for watercolour, markers, canvas paintings? Simple yet effective or detailed and bold? It’s your event! So make sure you are getting what you are looking for!
Second ~ Talk to them! Get an idea of what they are like! Do they match the energy you want? We are all different people (and I’ve not met any nasty people yet!) so you must make sure you click with us if we are spending all day with you!
Third ~ If you have a specific request, I.e adding a pet or a relative who can’t be there to an illustration, make sure the are able to accommodate that before booking! Just incase it’s not something in their wheelhouse!
Finally ~ Price isn’t everything! Some artists are more expensive than others. This doesn’t make the cheaper artists a bad choice, it doesn’t make the expensive ones the right one either! As said above, you should be looking at what you want! But you also must consider, we are artists! And we practice relentlessly and work hard to provide a beautiful bespoke service! Some people are also more expensive due to a wealth of experience, knowledge and demand!
So whichever illustrator you choose, make sure you choose the one that’s right for you!
