Burgundy is back! Rich, warm and surprisingly easy to live with, it can wake up a neutral room with a single cushion or lamp, anchor a space through a velvet sofa or headboard, or turn a small snug or downstairs loo into something wonderfully dramatic.

📀 Popular markets at Brindleyplace return this weekend, with the Brindley Records Market taking place on Saturday 29 August, followed by the Brindley Records & Makers Market on Saturday 26 September.

Expect vinyl, music memorabilia and in September, handmade products and unique finds from independent makers.

Both events run from 9am–4pm at Central Square, with free entry.

🧹 We went into Mrs. Doubtfire the Musical at Birmingham Hippodrome with a healthy dose of scepticism. We came out completely won over.

From the outrageous comedy and clever staging to Gabriel Vick’s brilliant performance as Daniel Hillard and Mrs Doubtfire, this is a production that delivers from start to finish.
