THE FACES BEHIND SMOOCH WEDDING FAIRS ✨
Weddings (and jewellery!) have been part of our family for a LONG time…
It actually goes back three generations. Stephen’s dad was a jeweller, Stephen followed him into the trade and became a diamond setter – before eventually deciding to do things a little differently.
In 2000, from a child-sized desk in the family playroom (very glamorous 😂), was born. 25+ years, thousands of couples and a LOT of wedding rings later… Smooch is still very much a family affair!
Stephen and Floss are still at the heart of the business, and now Solomon and Nimisha are joining them for the next chapter: Smooch Wedding Fairs 💕
Sol has grown up around Smooch, working in the family business over the years and attending hundreds of wedding fairs himself as an exhibitor. Along the way, he’s got to know the wedding industry inside out, built some brilliant relationships with suppliers and seen first-hand what a good wedding fair looks like.
Nimisha has spent her career in events and experiences, creating everything from brand activations to large-scale events – so bringing that experience into the world of weddings felt like a pretty natural fit.
And we’ve done the whole wedding planning thing ourselves too! Our Hin-Jew wedding brought together Nimisha’s Hindu heritage and Sol’s Jewish roots – two cultures, lots of traditions, plenty of family opinions and one BIG celebration 🪩
So between us, we know weddings from pretty much every angle – the jewellery, the suppliers, the fairs, the events, the planning, the family dynamics… and all the fun bits in between 💫
Now we’re bringing all of that together to create wedding fairs that feel exciting, inspiring and genuinely enjoyable. Less stuffy. More brilliant suppliers, fresh ideas and a really good day out!
