Happy 1 month-aversary darlings!

Luke and Lauren first got in touch in April 2024 to plan their May 2026 wedding ceremony.

Lauren is a woman with a plan and loves to be organized!Living in Middlesbrough, Luke, Lauren and I planned most of the ceremony through video calls, emails and messages. Coordinating diaries, we arranged a beaut in person meeting to catch up and deep dive into their ceremony goals early this year before a final rehearsal just a few days before the ceremony to finalize plans.

No matter where you are in the world, it's always possible to connect with me and create a ceremony that's authentic, meaningful and captures your story.

Thanks for trusting me with your story my loves!
Xx

"Humanisim is: An alternative way of seeing the world and of togetherness that is removed from any religious ideology. It centres around human beings and champions values and morals of humanity, love and kindness. It's a way to celebrate life!

We want a ceremony that centres around us as people and our love story. Humanism reflects our values and feels like a perfect fit for us to really mark such a special moment in our lives together. Ceremonies we have been to in the past feature so much joy, are so personal, and allow couples to really include the things and people they want as part of their celebration."

Thank you so much for sharing what humanism means to you!

My left! Your left? Whose left? Where am I standing??

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!!

Lads, using the terms 'Stage Right' and 'Stage Left' will solve your problems!

I used these terms to help couples understand placement during the ceremony!

⚡Stage Left is the left hand side of the stage from the celebrant's perspective while facing your guests.

⚡Stage Right is the right hand side of the stage from the celebrant's perspective while facing your guests.

Got it!!?

Does it matter which of you stand on stage right or left?! Absolutely not. Just choose a side you feeling comfortable with

Save and share with your wedding party so everyone is on the same page!!! (Or stage! Lol)

Watch to the end and comment below where Steph (bride) and Patrick (groom) are standing!!

In this industry with the current climate of trends, urgency, constant visibility and availability etc it can be all consuming. An experience with my littlest yesterday really prompted this reflection.

Most people in the wedding industry are self employed. And approximately 80% of people working in the industry are women. With kids or without kids, the juggle is real and healthy boundaries are essential. (She reminded me why I limit my weekend weddings!)

There are extra pressures on suppliers from fuel costs, product costs, childcare, rent and rates and of course the ever looming AI concerns.

But what makes it just that tiny bit easier is absolutely loving what you do, knowing that you make a difference and your job matters, a lot. And what also really helps, is working with other suppliers who appreciate each other. Most of us work solo, so community is everything.

Happy Sunday morning folks. You matter, your work matters and the wedding industry is better for people like you and the couples who appreciate you!

Kind words from The Lees

"Just go ahead and book Jean already!! She is a pure delight. All our guests are still raving about the ceremony, and spoke of her warmth and excellent delivery of our story. Jean kick-started our marriage with a ceremony we can look back on fondly."

Thank you, ya wee pair of dotes!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to two of my darlings!
(Yes I am 2 days late but i know they will forgive me!)

Tim and Patricia are the kind of people you easily fall in love with after spending just a little bit of time with; gentle, magnetic, kind, creative and oh, so, so fun! Their ceremony was calm, gentle and encompassing with just a little bit of chaos woven in for good measure! (Nothing like seeing how long it took for their guests to recognise N'trance's 'Set you free' as a reading!)

My first wedding in Donegal was only made better by sharing with

Can you tell we had a lot of fun???!!

It was a wee dream 'working' with Gary and Jill, whose fun, calm and quick wit was peppered through their love story.

Celebrants tell me this....is it just me or do you get soooooo excited to tell a couple's story??

Congratulations once again my loves!!

As seen on today!

Jess's amazing pink linen dress and bespoke pink veil has been a hot topic of late, a stunning example of a unique and alternative non-white wedding outfit.

(Lest we ignore Ricky's ensemble and matching henna 🔥-slide 9)

Yet, so many of Jess and Ricky's choices for their June 2025 wedding were exquisite examples of 'unique and alternative', celebrating local talent, reaching for joy and whimsy whilst honouring and incorporating heritage and family.

Looking back over their wedding photos (captured by the dynamic duo that is ) this awesome pair just oozed ease, joy and presence. They looked like they were simply wandering, pint in hand, through a jubilant celebration of love and community. A celebration that was all of their own making.
