NOTTINGHAM’S CREATIVES, CRAFTERS & CLEVER PEOPLE!

We’re starting to build our 2027 Masterclass Diary at The Hub, House of Vows and we’re looking for people who have a skill they’d LOVE to teach.

We still have a couple of masterclasses running during 2026, so scroll down to see the sort of things we’re creating.

But now… we’re planning 2027!

A big part of our masterclass programme will be aimed at DIY brides, bridal parties and anyone planning a wedding on a budget, so we’re currently looking for people who could teach things like:

🌿 Floristry
Simple bouquets, bridesmaid posies, buttonholes, table flowers, centrepieces and DIY wedding florals.

💇‍♀️ Bridal Hair Styling
You DON’T need to be a hairdresser. We’re looking for someone confident teaching quick, achievable styles such as simple buns, easy updos, curls, ponytails, half-up styles and wedding-day hair refreshes.

🎨 Wedding Signs & Calligraphy
Welcome signs, table plans, place names, acrylic signs, chalkboards and personalised wedding stationery.

🥂 Personalised & Painted Glasses
Bride and bridesmaid glasses, champagne flutes, wedding glasses and other personalised pieces.

🎁 Bridesmaid & Groomsman Boxes
How to create gorgeous proposal boxes, wedding morning boxes, thank-you gifts and personalised keepsakes without spending a fortune.

🎈 Balloon Displays
Garlands, arches, hoops, backdrops and smaller DIY displays that brides could recreate themselves.

✂️ WEDDING CRAFTERS OF ALL KINDS
Favours, candles, Cricut projects, vinyl, bows, cake toppers, table decorations, centrepieces, artificial florals, wedding stationery, signage, keepsakes… basically, if you can make it and you can teach it, we want to hear about it!

And you absolutely DO NOT have to run a professional business.

If you’re a talented crafter or hobbyist who knows their stuff and feels confident showing a small, friendly group how to make something, please get in touch.

It could become a brilliant little extra income stream, teaching something you already love for a few hours at a time.

And we’re definitely open to ideas we haven’t thought of yet.

PERMANENT JEWELLERY EVENT AT THE HUB

When I first created The Hub, I always wanted it to be a lovely, creative event space. Not just somewhere for weddings, but somewhere people could come together, try something different and enjoy a few hours with people they love.

So far, we’ve focused mainly on masterclasses for our DIY brides, because obviously that fits perfectly alongside House of Vows.

But this one is something a little bit different. And it has absolutely nothing to do with planning a wedding. 😂

This is one you can come along to with your friends, your daughter, your mum, your work colleagues or whoever you fancy having a lovely little afternoon with.

We’re having a permanent jewellery event at The Hub! ✨

If you’ve seen me, you’ll probably have noticed the permanent bracelet I wear. The lovely lady coming to do this event fitted mine around two years ago and it has never broken, never tarnished and still looks pretty much as good as the day I had it done.

My daughter has one too, and we’ve both decided we want another. So I contacted her to come back for us and then thought… why don’t we open it up and see if anybody else fancies having one too?
