🎂 Another trip around the sun! 🎂

Today I'm swapping balloons, deliveries and event setups for a little birthday celebration of my own. 🥳

It's been a busy few weeks here at For Any Occasion, with Pride, graduation setups, LOVE letters, road closures (more than one! 😆) and lots of exciting projects behind the scenes.

I'm feeling incredibly grateful for our wonderful customers, friends and family who continue to support our little business and allow us to spend our days creating celebrations for others.

Now, if anyone asks, I'm definitely still 29... 😉

That can only mean one thing...

It's install day! 🎈✨

Yesterday was one of those all-hands-on-deck kind of days, with the vehicles packed to the brim and a very early start.

We're not quite finished yet (we're heading back today to complete the final touches), but we couldn't resist sharing a little behind-the-scenes glimpse of what it takes before the magic happens.

☀️ A little advance notice... ☀️

After four years of balloons, celebrations, late nights, early mornings and creating magic for your special moments, we're finally taking our first family break in 4 years! ✨

The workshop will be closed from **28th August until 2nd October** while we head off on a family adventure.

We're letting you know nice and early so you have plenty of time to plan ahead and secure any bookings before or after these dates.

Don't worry – we're not disappearing! 🎈

🌐 Our website will remain open for enquiries and future bookings.
📅 October bookings are already being taken.
✨ And if you follow us on social media, you may spot a few balloon adventures from Florida along the way!

🌈 Sometimes inspiration comes from the most unexpected places...

The first photo was taken during an install at Charnley's. The arch had other ideas and decided it wanted to lean forward!

While most people would have been thinking, "How do I stop that?", my brain went somewhere completely different...

"What if we did it on purpose?" 🤔

Fast forward a few weeks and that little lightbulb moment became our walk-in arch at Pride in the Park.

Visitors could walk inside it, take photos and become part of the display.

The best part? Someone described it as feeling like a hug. 💛

I love it when a challenge sparks a new idea.

🚧 Another day, another road closure... 🚧

Just when we thought the roadworks had packed up and gone home, they're back! This time they're working on the manhole covers outside the shop.

The good news? We're OPEN as normal! 🎈✨

You may need to take a slightly different route to reach us, but we're here and ready to help with balloons, gifts, cards, event décor and all things celebration.

🎈 Six months.
Six whole months.
These balloons have been sitting patiently waiting to be used... and today their time was up. 😆
When you're part of a balloon business, there are some jobs everyone volunteers for...
✔️ Designing displays
✔️ Building backdrops
✔️ Testing lights
And then there's:
💥 Popping old balloons.
Drake seemed particularly enthusiastic about this task. We're not sure if he was helping with stock rotation or simply taking out his frustrations on a few innocent balloons! 😂
Who else secretly enjoys popping bubble wrap, balloons or anything else that goes BANG? 💥

After clips, cables, paint touch-ups, light testing and one rather stubborn Bluetooth issue... they're finally ready!
Our illuminated LOVE letters are now available to hire and we couldn't be happier with how they've turned out. 🤍
Whether they're lighting up a wedding, engagement party, anniversary celebration or special event, they create a beautiful focal point and look incredible in photos.
A huge team effort went into bringing these to life, and seeing them all lit up makes every minute worthwhile. ✨
