Another stunning day. I'm way too early for my services so sitting in the gardens here at Holmsford Bridge Crematorium. It's very tranquil with the sounds of the birds tweeting. Joined in the sun by a beautiful butterfly.

Mr G and I visited in Dobbies in Ayr to get a new rose plant and look who popped by to say hello!

Many people belief that a Robin's appearance is a sign of a loved one reaching out. This is rooted in centuries old folklore about robins tending to the unburied dead and acting as gentle guardians.

Robins are strongly associated with renewal and fresh starts, especially when seen in spring.

Traditional superstition holds that seeing a robin bring good fortune.

I hope this little robin in one of my loved ones reaching out and that good fortune will favour me as my business continues to build.

Last week I was privileged to lead a Celebration of Life for Deborah . I wove into the service that Deborah was well suited to her name as it carries the ancient meaning of "bee" - a symbol of warmth, wisdom and tireless devotion. This was so fitting for Debbie as she was someone who gave, gathered and held her family close.

The joy of working for myself is that I can choose to take yesterday afternoon off to be volunteer Compere for my local nursing home at their annual Resident's Ball. What a fantastic afternoon - good food, good company, good music and making good memories!

Last night owner Lorna gave me a sneak peek behind the doors of this great new Ayrshire venue for Weddings and Vow Renewals.

From small intimate ceremonies in the library to large parties in the ballroom, together with the option of overnight stay for up to 40 guests this is going to be an amazing venue and I hope I get to conduct a ceremony there soon.
