❤️One step closer to social media domination ❤️

Apparently, if you want social media success these days, you have to jump on the latest trends, so a few weeks ago I did the ChatGPT 'who am I' thing and now I've done one of those 'things you might not know about me' posts. Am I entirely sure what I'm doing? Absolutely not! 😅

At 54 years old, I'm basically wandering around social media pressing buttons and hoping for the best while the cool kids nod approvingly and don't report me for being ancient 👵

That said, if these trends help people get to know the human behind Suzie the Celebrant, then I'm all for it. So here's my latest attempt at staying relevant and keeping the algorithm happy 😉

Wish me luck. At this rate I'll probably be learning the next trend about three weeks after everyone else has moved on 🤣

❤️ Emily and Stuart – 16/05/2026 ❤️

Four weeks ago today, I had the absolute honour of marrying Emily and Stuart, the new Mr and Mrs McLaren. They were such a fun couple to work with, and we shared so many laughs during their ceremony, at all the right moments, obviously! 😊

Their love story began with emojis, and Stuart's proposal took place at their favourite place in the world, Disney World. Their gorgeous wee dog Nala was their ring bearer for the day and kept the guests entertained with some perfectly timed zoomies 🐶

I was delighted when Emily and Stuart sent me these beautiful photos this week and gave me permission to share them ❤️

Thank you, Mr and Mrs McLaren, for choosing me as your celebrant. It was a joy to be part of your special day ❤️

❤️ Feedback Friday ❤️

Today's feedback was a lovely wee surprise when I got tagged in a supplier thank you post by one of my gorgeous brides.

I had the absolute joy of marrying her and her husband and they were an absolute hoot from start to finish. They also introduced me to the wonders of the Paisley Pie Company when we met there for their ceremony planning meeting. Not only did we chat weddings, but they sent me home with pies and cheesecakes for dinner for Mrs Suzie the Celebrant and I. That's definitely one way to guarantee your celebrant remembers you! 🥧😂

Their ceremony was packed with laughter, love and some of the most spectacularly brilliant 'secret things I love about you' answers I've ever had the pleasure (and challenge) of reading out with a straight face. The groom really understood the assignment perfectly 🤣

So getting that wee notification and reading such lovely words genuinely made my day. Moments like this remind me how lucky I am that this is my job ❤️

❤️ Peak of the Week ❤️

The journey to the peak this week has been filled with lots of celebranting™️ (Suzie the Celebrant) and I've been loving every minute of it. I had the wedding of Jess and Kenny on Saturday and I'll be sharing some photos from that very soon ❤️

There have also been planning meetings, introductory chats and lots of writing keeping me busy behind the scenes 😀

No weddings for me this weekend, which is pretty rare, but Mrs Suzie the Celebrant and I have our niece Laura visiting from Belfast with our wee great-niece Mia, and my gorgeous cousins are coming on Friday too. For the first time, all the new babies in the family will be together and I'm ridiculously excited about it ❤️

And while I've got a rare wedding-free weekend ahead, I do have a soft spot for a wee midweek wedding. So if you're planning a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 'I do' then give me a wee shout. Love doesn't just need to happen on Saturdays! ❤️

❤️ Meet Lynette and Stewart ❤️

I’m absolutely delighted to be marrying this gorgeous pair in October 2027! ❤️

Lynette and Stewart first saw me in action at a wedding I conducted last year. Thankfully, rather than being put off by my enthusiastic celebranting
(™️ SuzietheCelebrant), they decided they wanted some of my brand of chaos at their own wedding and got in touch to see if I was available. Luckily for them and me, I was! 😊

Lynette and I jumped on a call while Stewart was at work, and I’m pleased to report that my witty banter was still very much intact.

I can always tell when I’m going to love working with a couple, and bonus points are awarded when I get introduced to the pets during our first chat. Enter Mac, who completely stole the show and very nearly got booked as my celebrant assistant 🐶

These two are an absolute joy already, and I can’t wait to get to know them better and create a ceremony that is packed full of love, laughter and all the things that make them them ❤️
