🎶 NEW ELECTRONIC MUSIC STATION TO LAUNCH IN NORTH BUCKS 🎶
Ground Zero radio aims broadcast on DAB Digital Radio to Milton Keynes and surrounding towns giving local DJs and producers a platform to showcase their talents on a real radio station.
The new station aspires to bring the old school ‘pirate’ sound heard back in the 90’s and 00’s back to the North Buckinghamshire airwaves with local, up-and-coming DJs playing a mix of electronic styles and genres with minimum interruptions. Unlike the pirates of old though, Ground Zero are eagerly awaiting a Digital Sound Program license from Ofcom before they commence broadcasting.
As well as being available on Digital Radio, the system found in most car stereos in recent years, listeners will also be able to tune in worldwide via a smart speaker or a mobile app. However, despite the international availability their focus is strictly on supporting local talent from the towns and villages where the station will broadcast.
DJ’s will have the opportunity to play on professional grade equipment at their newly built studio located at Creslow Park near Aylesbury, the site of a former MI6 radio communications facility.
Established as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company the station intends to support itself from contributions paid by DJs as well as limited advertising and sponsorship from local events or businesses.
