Studio Williams is a UK wedding photographer aiming to capture the essence of your special day

With over 10 years worth of photography experience, it is my job to ensure that your wedding day is captured in all of its magical glory. I cover the full day from the bride & or groom getting ready, all the way through to the party at the end of the night. I'm there to do a job, but I'm also there to be forgotten about so I am able to capture all of the wonderful candid moments of the ceremony. I

aim to capture the day in both a fairytale manner and also just document the small but potent memories that are being created.

Ever gotten into a river in the middle of winter in front of about 100 strangers just for a client?

No?

Well let me tell you a story.

The year was 2023, it was about 3°C, and my friend asked me to be a hidden photographer.

At 6'3 & about 100KG+ in weight, it's difficult to stay "hidden"...

Add into this that I play American Football with the soon to be groom, and I've met the soon to be bride a few times.

So she knew my face

Thankfully I just looked like a creep instead of being caught!!!

I was wrapped up warm, and just pointing a camera at a random couple.

She never saw it coming!!!

Thankfully when she turned around she saw the man of her dreams on one knee rather than me pointing a lens in her direction.

Wedding Planning getting you down?

Don't worry, you're not alone.

Over the years, I've been photographing weddings, I've heard all the horror stories.

- All your time gets taken up
- All your money vanishes
- Family members being royal pains in the arse...

Y'know, the usual.

This is why I'm putting together tips and tricks on how to remove the stress so you can actually enjoy planning your wedding!

1) Create a timeline.
You want this to be realistic. Don't go looking for your makeup artist or groomsman suits 2 weeks before your wedding.

2) Set your budget early
This is self-explanatory, but the amount of stories I hear about how one minute it's a small intimate wedding, and the next it's 200 people & the pope is unreal. Money is the biggest stressor for most couples when planning their wedding.

3) Delegate tasks
It's your day, but it doesn't mean it has to be your work 👀 Use your friends and family to help get things moving.

4) Take a break
The average time I've found for wedding planning is around 2 years from the moment of engagement. You have time to just take 5 minutes and enjoy being engaged.

5) Focus on what matters
The biggest regret I hear (other than hiring bad vendors) is that the couple didn't enjoy their own wedding. They make it too much about what their family & friends want, when it should be about them.

Remember, it's YOUR day.

Be selfish.

Dad first looks are always fun. Especially the dads who "don't cry".

We do it for them.

I used to dislike going through old family photos and videos. Especially ones I was in, as they always felt embarrassed.

As I've grown older, and come to enjoy looking back at old memories, it's made me realise that capturing these photos isn't just for you and your parents/friends.

It's for the generations to come. Your children and grandchildren.

This is what makes capturing key memories so special.

One day he'll look back at the photos and smile about the good times gone by.

This is why I love what I do.

To many photographing weddings is just a job, to me it's a way of meeting new people and making life long friends.

To say this wedding went off without a hitch would be a lie.

The bride, groom, myself, my second shooter, and videographers had to do our best to make sure the bride and groom still had a smooth day.

It also helps the couple we're just fantastic.

If you want a photographer who will carry a tired groom into the room for speeches then I know a guy.

If you're new here, hi, hello, I'm Sean.

I'm a UK-based wedding photographer who has an unhealthy obsession with silly sports.

I play American football, and over the weekend I was invited to come and photograph the game between Germany & GB.

Germany came out on top of this game, but it was a fantastic experience and a welcome break from weddings 😂

In 10 years time, I can imagine Ryan and Sophie's little boy bringing home his first girlfriend and them showing her these photos.

The little lad will be embarrassed at the time, but these memories will visually live on for generations, and the entire family can look back and relive the wedding day.

This is why it's so important to bring in someone with experience of weddings, because moments like this that seem inconsequential to most people, but down the line these will be cherished memories.

You can't tell if they want your attention or if they're just looking at how pretty you are.

Well as a wedding photographer at a party, this is exactly what that feeling looks like...

I love the interactions I get to have with strangers in any given second.
