This morning we upgraded Caterpillar Club to Ladybird Club (so a wider age range) and we relocated to Hurley Recreation Ground for a picnic and play.

Potty training doesn't stop though so one of our Mom's brought along her little toilet, seen in the pic with our nappy bin.

I also have to include a massive shout out to the one and only Davison Carroll for absolutely everything she does, not only did she go above and beyond with the picnic today she has also started training a group of little assistants on the drinks station

Thank you to everyone for your continued support and feedback. We really hope we can deliver a lot more of these going forward

So thanks to a little thunderstorm last night it's so much cooler this morning. We can't wait to see you all down Hurley Recreation Ground this morning for some outdoor fun, games and most likely still a dance or two 🥰

🌿 Unity Experiences CIC – Bank Holiday & Half Term Activities 🌿

Our regular Caterpillar Clubs are taking a little break this week… so we’re heading outdoors instead! ☀️🌳

With temperatures expected to be quite high across the Bank Holiday and half term week, we’ll be making the most of outdoor play, water-based activities and shaded green spaces where children can explore, move and play in a relaxed environment. Please remember sun cream, hats, water bottles and suitable clothing 💦☀️

All of our half term sessions are completely FREE to attend (except Bingo). Donations towards helping us continue running Caterpillar Club sessions are always hugely appreciated, but never expected 💚

We’ll also have a small selection of refreshments available across the week.

Join us from 9:30am–11:00am in your local community spaces across the week:

📍 Monday – Baddesley
📍 Thursday – Hurley
📍 Friday – Kingsbury

🏡 Special Preview Session at Baxterley Church School Room. Tuesday 26th May 1.00pm-3.30pm

This special preview session is helping us explore a calmer, more inclusive style of provision ahead of the summer holidays — particularly for families with babies, younger children and children with SEN who may find busier holiday environments overwhelming.

School holidays can sometimes become loud, busy and overstimulating, so we’re creating a gentler, quieter alternative within the peaceful surroundings of Baxterley Church School Room.

👶 Babies & younger children can enjoy:
• Baby-focused play mat area
• Gentle sensory play
• Calm social space for parents, grandparents & carers to chat and connect

🧸 Older children can explore:
• Sensory and activity tuff trays
• Open-ended play invitations
• Creative exploration and hands-on activities

Across the week, activities may include:
💦 Water play
🥣 Mud kitchens
🏖️ Sand play
🌿 Nature play
🔎 Scavenger hunts
🏃 Active play
🎲 Games & movement activities

Please note: not every activity will be available at every location.

🎉 We’ll finish the week with our own family-friendly take on the classic bingo party experience at Hurley Village Hall — bringing together music, laughter, prizes and community fun in a way designed for all ages to enjoy together.

We’ve had a great response, but we still need to fill more seats for our Half-Term getaway on Wednesday, 27th May. We have EXTENDED the booking deadline for one final week!

Shrewsbury is a fantastic destination for families during the May half-term, offering everything from historic adventures to outdoor play. Here are some of the best activities to highlight for those traveling with children:

The Quarry & Splash Park: 29 acres of space for the kids to run wild, plus a free splash pad! ⛲🌳
