Last night, the three of us got together to go through all of the feedback we’ve received since Artbourne 💚

Firstly, thank you.

We’ve been genuinely overwhelmed by the number of emails, messages, conversations, comments and suggestions we’ve received from artists, volunteers, venues and visitors. The support for bringing Artbourne back in 2027 has been incredible and we’ve also been given some fantastic ideas for how we can make the trail even better.

While we haven’t been able to reply personally to every message, please rest assured that every single piece of feedback has been read, discussed and considered. Last night’s meeting was all about identifying what worked well, what could be improved and starting to put plans in motion for next year.

As a first year event, we’re incredibly proud of what was achieved, but we’re also committed to learning, evolving and making each Artbourne better than the last.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts, ideas and experiences with us. Your feedback is helping shape the future of Artbourne and we’re super excited about what’s to come.

Watch this space…👀

One week ago, Artbourne came to an end.

What we’ve perhaps been most surprised by since then is the sheer number of people who’ve taken the time to get in touch.

We’ve had visitors stopping us in the street, popping into Handmade Design to chat with Laura, sending emails, messages and comments to tell us how much they enjoyed the weekend. Some have shared photos, some have told us about the artwork they took home and others have simply said how lovely it was to see Ashbourne feeling so vibrant and full of life.

The comments in these slides are just a small snapshot of the feedback we’ve received over the past week.

As a brand new event, there are of course things we’ll learn from and improve. But hearing that people discovered new artists, visited buildings they’d never stepped inside before, spent the weekend exploring the town and are already asking for more next year has been incredibly rewarding.

Thank you to everyone who visited, supported the artists, attended a workshop, bought a wristband, shared a post or told a friend.

We’ve loved reading every single message 💚

WHAT A WEEKEND 💚

Over the last two days we’ve watched Ashbourne come alive with creativity, conversation and community.

We’ve seen artists sharing the stories behind their work, visitors stepping through the doors of buildings they’ve never explored before, workshops full of laughter, food enjoyed in the sunshine, artwork finding new homes and venues buzzing all day.

The feedback from visitors has honestly blown us away.

We’ve heard people say they haven’t seen Ashbourne this vibrant or this busy in years. We’ve welcomed visitors from across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and even as far as Bolton and Manchester. We’ve met people who spent the entire weekend exploring the trail and others who are already planning their return next year.

For a first year, there were definitely a few behind the scenes challenges and lessons learned along the way, but seeing the town embrace the trail in the way it did made all the hard work worthwhile.

A huge thank you to every artist, venue, volunteer, food vendor, musician, supporter and visitor who took a chance on something new and helped make Artbourne what it was this weekend.

These photos are just a small glimpse of what happened across the town over the last two days.

Ashbourne, you were incredible 💚

Now the important question...

Is it too early to announce the 2027 dates? 👀

P.S. thank you for sharing your photo with us

Coming up this weekend. I'm going to Ashbourne for the new ARTbourne Arts Trail.

My display will be in Yew Tree Records on Dig Street (right in the town centre), but there will be over 100 artists set up in various locations around Ashbourne. It's on Saturday & Sunday!
