🎟️ Funk Off Up The Dancin' Tickets 🎟️

Just a quick note to everyone who has reserved tickets for Funk Off Up The Dancin' — demand has been fantastic and tickets are proving very popular!

I'll be in The Post tomorrow (Friday 5th June) if you'd like to come along and pay for and collect your tickets. I'll also be doing a wee DJ set and trying something a bit different for a Friday night in the pub, so you're more than welcome to stay and enjoy the night... but collect your tickets first! 😂🎶

I know there's still plenty of time until the event, but with so much interest, I'm unable to hold tickets indefinitely. To be fair to everyone who is looking for tickets, I'd appreciate it if reserved tickets could be collected as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for all the support — it's shaping up to be a cracking night, and I can't wait to see everyone there! 🕺💃🎵

🎶 Friday Night at The Post – Let’s Go!

This Friday night I’m back on the decks at The Post from 9pm for a proper Friday session.

Expect a mix of:
Classic tunes for the legends
Modern remixes to keep things fresh
And a few “you forgot how much you loved this” moments

It’s all about good vibes, good music, and a wee Friday night dance with absolutely no excuses needed.

Right troops, after a while of resisting modern technology, I’ve finally set up an Instagram page to go along with this one 😂

To be fair, I grew up with a Philips Savvy on the BT Cellnet network, and my dial-up internet was through Freeserve… it took about half an hour just to load my Bebo page, so ye can understand why I’m a bit behind the times.

Apparently some folk don’t do Facebook, and some don’t do Instagram, so now I’ve got ye all covered 👍

What a lovely letter to receive through the door on a Friday 😊

While it might be addressed to me, this recognition truly belongs to everyone who was involved in making Stars In Their Eyes such a success. It was a real team effort from start to finish.

I’m incredibly grateful to each and every person who supported, attended, donated, or helped behind the scenes. Together, we’ve raised an amazing final total of £1,454 👏
A massive, heartfelt thank you to you all – this simply wouldn’t have been possible without you ❤️

This will be my last post about this, I promise ❤️

I’d really appreciate it if you could take literally 2 seconds to like and follow the pages I’ve tagged below. David Park kindly donated a 4 ball for Wishaw Golf Club, and Brendan Gray donated a £25 voucher for The Coffee Counter as raffle prizes. Their generosity has been incredible, and it would mean a lot if we could show them a bit of support in return.

It costs nothing, takes no time at all, and it’s the least we can do considering their kind gestures.

I’ve already said thank you to so many people and shared how grateful I am for the money we raised, but I’d be completely missing the point if I didn’t give a proper shoutout to the amazing people working behind the scenes who made the whole day run so smoothly — it genuinely couldn’t have happened without you.

First of all, Caroline Murphy … where do I even start? From selling raffle tickets, helping organise prizes, going around with food, working behind the bar — and then somehow still having the energy to give what felt like half the room a lift home (and a few lifts to the dancing too 😂). Absolutely incredible effort from start to finish.

A huge thank you as well to the wonderful bar staff ThePost Calderbank who kept everyone hydrated despite it being non-stop busy — you were brilliant all day.

Massive credit to Ross Bryce for handling all the audio and video for the event. That side of things can make or break a day like this, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without you.

And finally, to my wife Pauline Sweeney. She helped get the hall sorted, was out selling raffle tickets — but the biggest thank you is for something else entirely… for going along with my ideas 😂 I tend to throw things out there first and figure out how to make them work later, and she just rolls with it (and all the chaos that comes with it!). For that, I’m incredibly grateful ❤️

So to everyone who helped behind the scenes — thank you. You made it all come together.
