Birthday weekend reasons to be thankful 🙏

🍷 New job this month running tastings at . This was the first bottle I purchased as an employee (have bought a couple more since 😳) and it is b e a utiful.

📖 Exam success! Found out a few weeks ago that I passed my D1 and D2 modules of Diploma that I sat back in October. With a shiny gold star for D1 as well ?!?! Now just more crossing of fingers and toes for next results in April.

🎂 Blue skies on my birthday!! I don't know if I'm just feeling it more each year but I'm happy that, amidst the cheersing and churros, the day feels like a celebration of my amazing mum, for everything she did all those years ago, every day since then and long before I came along 💕

32 is basically the same as 22 - but just better, right? 🤩

We start with a simple question: do you like it?! 🍷

From that point, the aim is to make the evening both enjoyable and worthwhile. That often means learning where the wine comes from, what makes it interesting, and potentially why some of us love it while others might give it a zero out of five...

A belated cheers 🥂 to everyone who came to my Christmas wine and cheese evening in Radley. Together we raised £365 for the local church building project. It's a small part of a much bigger fundraising effort, but community events like this feel important just for the sake of bringing people together, too.

I am aware that I say this a lot, but I do genuinely feel so lucky to do what I do!

Thank you also to for their generous help in contributing some absolutely delicious cheeses 🧀 and to my dear friend who kept the cheese and wine (and me) in check on the night 🙏😅

Today had me feeling very nostalgic thinking back to my first job relating to wine... 11 years ago 😳

Some DELICIOUS ports tasted today! Plus some vins doux naturels this afternoon and my first taste of a Rutherglen Muscat. Very enjoyable, but port definitely more for me 🤌
