In France, even if you have a religious or another ceremony, to be considered married you have to go through the Mairie (town hall) and get married in front of a city representative. Some couples use this as their 'big' ceremony and invite everyone, and for others it's just a formality. As an American who has become French, I really, REALLY love covering these ceremonies because I get to explore these old historic town halls.

So without further ado, here's another quick shot from Yacine and Khawla's civil wedding. Can you believe this gorgeous courtyard is in the inside of a town hall?

Ashleigh sneaking a peek of everyone finding their seats before the ceremony. I try not to be too invasive and let you do your thing, but sometimes when the lighting is just right I have to get your attention and grab a quick portrait. 🤓I just can't help it sometimes.

J'essaie de ne pas être trop envahissante et de vous laisser faire votre travail, mais parfois, lorsque l'éclairage est parfait, je dois attirer votre attention et prendre un portrait rapide. 🤓I just can't help it sometimes.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This year I am incredibly grateful to have 2 jobs that I love in a city and country that I love (that, by the way, finally accepted me as a citizen this year 😉), to have an incredible family and partner, and to see life come back to normal little by little (or quickly + all at once for weddings)!

The look of relief after they did it 😍Getting engaged you go through so many different stages before finally arriving and saying your vows, and the one you definitely don't expect is stage fright, but then your officiant guides you through it step by step, and boom. You're married.

Le regard de soulagement après 😍En vous fiancant, vous passez par tant d'étapes différentes avant d'arriver enfin à prononcer vos vœux, et celle à laquelle vous ne vous attendez absolument pas est le trac, mais ensuite votre MC vous guide étape par étape, et boum. Vous êtes mariés.

I can genuinely not pick a favorite from this fall engagement shoot with the amazing .majdalani and Luca! Can not wait for their wedding and the south of Italy next year!

We went on the hunt for fall leaves and we weren't disappointed! 🍂🍁 And can you imagine this wonderland is actually in Paris? (Well, kind of...)

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Place des Vosges ever since I had my first 'European' picnic complete WITH WINE at 3pm on a Thursday when I became a 'Jeune Fille Au Pair' back in 2010. It's also my favorite place to get macarons (CARETTE ), my favorite place to chow down on falafel, and my favorite place to take naps in the summer.

Stéphanie and Philippe told me during our meet and greet that that's where they met, and it was just across the street from their Church, so now I can say it's one of my favorite places to take wedding photos too.

J'ai toujours eu un petit quelque chose dans mon cœur pour la Place des Vosges depuis que j'ai eu mon premier pique-nique "européen" avec du vin à 15h un jeudi quand je suis devenue Jeune Fille Au Pair en 2010. C'est aussi mon endroit préféré pour acheter des macarons (Carette), mon endroit préféré pour dévorer des falafels, et mon endroit préféré pour faire des siestes en été.

Stéphanie et Philippe m'ont dit lors de notre rencontre que c'est là qu'ils se sont rencontrés, et que c'était juste en face de leur église, donc maintenant je peux dire que c'est aussi un de mes endroits préférés pour prendre des photos de mariage.

Driving through Paris in a Rolls-Royce Motor Cars had a special kind of magic to it. Normally as a wedding photographer, you’re used to people staring at you because you’re with a bride and groom, but the car definitely upped the level of full-blown staring. See more photos on the blog down below!
