I really live through beauty.
For as long as I can remember, I have nourished an intense passion for the home and its signature trappings; those curated expressions of emotion and belonging that transform a house into one's own home. The "art" of setting the table represents their crowning glory, the ultimate mood for extending the hospitality of one's abode to others in a celebration of savoury fare and lively conversation.
Like every true collector, I scour the lanes, from countryside flea market to international auction house, in search of the ideal 18th/19th century France, porcelain tableware or soup tureen; the quintessential silverware or delicately engraved stemware, endeavoring at all times to bring perfection to my guests in the guise of the consummate backdrop to an unforgettable meal.
After all - is there any finer prelude to the pleasures and richness of conviviality?
