👩‍🎨 Jacqueline Osty
Founder of Atelier Jacqueline Osty & Associés, Jacqueline is behind some of France’s most iconic urban parks.
🔹 Notable works: Parc Martin Luther King (Paris), Parc du Peuple de l’Herbe (Carrières-sous-Poissy), and the redevelopment of Place de la République (Paris).
Topic: “From the Blade of Grass to the Horizon, Sketching the City Through the Landscape"

🏙️ Charles Waldheim
Professor at Harvard Graduate School of Design and a key figure in the Landscape Urbanism movement.

The IFLA World Congress organizing team is thrilled to announce the launch of the Student Landscape Architecture Design Competition this mid-March! Stay tuned!

🎓 Calling all students—this is your chance to showcase your talent on a global stage! Participate in the competition and have your work reviewed alongside peers from around the world.

This year, we invite you to explore the theme "Guiding Landscapes", with a special focus on the subtheme "Guiding Cities."

🔹 What does "guiding" mean? It refers to leading or directing towards a specific landscape goal. "Guiding Landscapes" encompass projects, initiatives, and strategies that place landscapes— in all their dimensions— at the heart of discussions, shaping the future as a guiding thread.

📅 Abstract submission deadline: 31st May 2025, 23:59 CET.

We invite all interested participants to submit their abstracts in line with the Congress theme: "Guiding Landscapes."

Authors are encouraged to select one of the two main topics and corresponding sub-topics that best describe their submission:
1️⃣ Guiding cities
🔹Through what is alive (ecosystems, rainwater, soil, rivers)
🔹With society (art, design, consultation, uses)
2️⃣ Guiding territories
🔹By changing the design of regional projects (energy landscapes, agroforestry, risks)
🔹With legislative and social advances in planning (planning law, nature and society, heritage landscapes)
