THE ART OF GATHERING

Some weddings follow traditions.

Others create their own.

This one was one of them.

A château chosen for its soul.

A turquoise corset dress.

A Paris-Brest served during the cocktail.

Every choice said something about them.

What I admired most about this wedding was the freedom with which they created it.

The freedom to make unexpected choices, always true to who they are.

The couple had a very clear vision of what they wanted to experience and what they wanted their guests to feel.

A personal vision.

A bold vision.

A vision that followed its own path.

My role was to give structure to that vision and make it smooth, possible and enjoyable for everyone.

A wedding imagined as a creative project.

Today, what I remember most is this rare feeling of seeing a wedding that followed its own rules.

Some women already carry a world within them.

A natural elegance.
A confident femininity.
A presence that inspires.

Giulia is one of those women.

She doesn’t try to be elegant.
She simply is.

She doesn’t try to embody a universe.
She carries it naturally.

It could easily be mistaken for an editorial shoot.

Yet everything is real.

My role as an art director was simply to reveal what was already there within her.

Her presence.
Her grace.
Her personality.

Then let everything else follow naturally.

The softness of Provence meeting Italian sophistication.

A feminine elegance expressed through both details and presence.

This is also what I love most about my work :

Revealing a personality through aesthetics, atmosphere and sensation.

Because in the end, everything becomes coherent when the universe grows from the person it is telling the story of.

WHAT SHAPES MY PERSPECTIVE

For a long time, I didn’t realize that my perspective was probably my greatest asset.

An architecture.
A light.
A texture.
A shape.
A sensation.

I photograph countless things.
Not because they are directly connected to a project.
Simply because they nourish the way I see.

Over time, my eye becomes sharper.
More demanding.
More precise.

And today, I realize that it is probably my greatest value.

Because, in the end, we can do the same job, respond to the same brief, work in the same place.

But we don’t perceive things in the same way.
And that perception makes all the difference.

It is what creates a sensitivity.
A signature.
An experience.

My ambition is to keep pushing this search further.

More sensation.
More immersion.
More emotion.
More experience.

My perspective is still evolving.

And that is probably what makes it so valuable.

WHAT REMAINS

These images still move me.

They manage to preserve a feeling, a presence, almost untouched by time.

And I also owe that to the photographer’s sensitive eye, who managed to capture through her images something that is not so easy to convey : a silent emotion, an energy, an imprint.

At the time, I wasn’t speaking about art direction yet. Still, I was already working with a particular attention to materials, light and the balance of a space.

Some experiences leave a deeper trace than others when they are built together with trust, sincerity and mutual commitment. The strongest projects are born from a real relationship of trust.

I put so much of myself into this project, sometimes far beyond my comfort zone. And even today, I realise how much this creative vision was already an essential part of the way I create.

The eye shifts elsewhere:

My eye has evolved over time.

Today, I am drawn to light,
to shadows, to cracks, to lines.

To colors, to architecture,
to compositions and balance.

It’s instinctive.
And it shapes the way I see.

I draw inspiration from everything around me.

Not to replicate,
but to understand what moves me.

To refine. To deepen. To sharpen.

Everyone develops a sensitivity.
A way of seeing.

This is mine.

This is where everything begins.

Long before a project,
long before a scenography.

There is this eye.
