Shop opening hours for September

We have made the decision this year to carry on opening 7 days a week throughout September, but with shorter hours of 11h-15h. As usual we will probably be open before then and close later but those are our core hours. We will revise again after the pottery weekend on the weekend of 20/21 September – always a lovely weekend!
If you want to come especially to see us and can’t make those core hours, simply message me on 07 69 35 85 88 or [email protected] and we can arrange to meet you when convenient.

Heures d'ouverture du magasin en septembre

Nous avons pris la décision cette année de poursuivre l'ouverture 7 jours sur 7 tout au long du mois de septembre, mais avec des heures plus courtes de 11h à 15h. Comme d'habitude, nous serons probablement ouverts avant cette date et fermerons plus t**d, mais ce sont nos heures de base. Nous réviserons à nouveau après le week-end de la poterie le week-end du 20/21 septembre - toujours un beau week-end !

New to my range of room sprays are these 50ml spritz. I call them my little pocket rockets as they will slip into the smallest of clutch bags. They look cute and the scents are gorgeous as usual!
As part of the new Quotidienne range this proves that smaller can be better (except diamonds of course ladies 😉)

A brand new wax melt has just hit the shelves - I’ve called the scent Ocean Life as it reminds me of lazing on a boat off the coast, breathing in those fresh and ozonic notes. Just in time for summer!

NEW RANGE
If you fancy a change from our usual amber look, we have just launched our new everyday ‘Quotidienne’ range. These are our most eco-friendly products with no packaging at all and in sleek frosted glass containers which give them clean and simple lines. The range comprises reed diffusers, liquid soap and hand lotion, sprays and votive candles which all compliment each other beautifully and include some gorgeous new scents to waft around. So if you fancy this simpler look at a lower price point you know where to come!

HIGH SEASON OPENING HOURS
Sorry that I have been quiet over the last few weeks but we have been beavering away building up stock.
July is now upon us however and so from next week until the end of August we are going all guns blazing and will be opening the shop every day.
Our core hours will be 11h-14h.
We will most likely open earlier and close later but this gives us the flexibility to close earlier if the weather is too hot for shopping! But if you are coming to Aubeterre just for us then come between these hours you will know that we are there for you.
Otherwise just pop me a message on 07 69 35 85 88 to check if we are there. You can call me but I won't answer unknown numbers (I get soo many scam calls, don't you?) but you can leave me a message and I will get back to you.
We have lots of new scents to smell and different ranges to choose from so you won't be disappointed!

Another lovely batch of Lavender soaps, newly cured, are going on the shelves this week.
Interesting factoid here: did you know that Lavender oil has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making it beneficial for skin health. It can help treat acne, reduce skin inflammation, and promote the healing of minor cuts and burns.
Just sayin.
We are just getting ready to open the shop for at least 6 days a week, hopefully starting next week but we’ll keep you posted.
This week I’m open tomorrow and Friday until 2pm whilst we get the shop ready.

Thèse lavender soaps aren’t perfect. There are a few air bubbles in them as the batter began to set very quickly on this batch.
But the marbling on them is really amazing so I will be selling them anyway. I can see people keeping them on the window sill in the bathroom as a thing of beauty 🤣 - too pretty to use!
To be honest they are too lovely to even stamp - I’m scared to spoil their beauty lol
I am just wrapping them now and putting them out on the shelf but as this was a small batch they will soon go unfortunately.
Maybe I should just frame them 🤣

They’re Back!
My fabulous Insect repellent sprays - totally natural and enriched with a natural ECOCERT chemical called Citrepel. This is a highly effective insect repellent as my customers who tried it last year will attest to!
I have two blends of essential oils - citronella and lemongrass or Lavender and Patchouli. Both smell lovely AND keep the mozzies at bay.

It was a lovely day yesterday so we had a stroll up to .aubeterre the new café which has just opened in the top church courtyard. It is a great place and very welcoming and to top it all the coffees and cakes are gorgeous so a fab addition to Aubeterre since that flipping soap shop opened in the old café premises in the square.
As many of you know about halfway up the hill is this viewpoint overlooking our beautiful hillside village. I never seem to tire of this view, and even now after over eight years, I still can’t quite believe we have a little shop here, selling homemade soaps, candles, diffusers, spray and wax melts! Who’d have thought!!
So as the weather is nice again I have decided to open today (Saturday) so if you fancy wondering over for a fantastic flat white followed by a sniff of my melts, I’ll be here until 15h x
