Yhteisnäyttelymme Kahden kotimaan kaikuja toi kokonaisuudessaan yli 4000 kävijää Galleria Laikkuun.🤩

Näyttelyyn voi edelleen eläytyä näyttelykatalogin muodossa. Se kokoaa taiteilijoiden ajatuksia kahdesta kotimaasta sekä kutsuu pohtimaan oman kodin merkitystä ja sitä, miten se rakentuu muistojen, kokemusten ja kulttuurien kautta. Katalogista löytyvät myös tarinat taideteoksista ja niiden synnystä.

Katalogi on nelikielinen, mukana ovat suomen-, tšekin-, slovakin- ja englanninkieliset tekstit. Sen kautta pääsee syventymään taiteilijoiden näkökulmiin ja teosten taustoihin.

Welcome to explore Czech and Slovak contemporary art! 7 artists, 4 films, 4 workshops, 2 discussion events, 1 place – Tampere Cultural Centre Laikku.
The group exhibition presents seven artists originally from the Czech Republic and Slovakia who have moved to Finland. Their works echo the experience of two homelands, which inspired the exhibition’s title – Echoes of Two Homelands.
The exhibition and accompanying programme take place at Galleria Laikku, right in the centre of Tampere, from 21 February to 29 March 2026.
The event is brought to life by Bohemia-seura ry – a community connecting Czechs and Slovaks living in Finland – together with the Embassy of Czech Republic in Helsinki, the Embassy of Slovak Republic in Finland, as well as Axamitum Moments Oy, Rödl and Vafo Group.

A documentary about Libuše Jarcovjáková directed by Klára Tasovská.
Libuše Jarcovjáková is a legend of photography and an untamed woman who broke every convention. Her life is a mosaic of fascinating encounters and wild stories – from the gritty underground of communist Czechoslovakia to exclusive fashion shoots in Tokyo, and all the way to her dramatic escape to West Berlin, where she witnessed the fall of the Iron Curtain. From thousands of analog photographs and pages of personal diaries, director Klára Tasovská has created a formally unique documentary that captivated audiences at Berlinale and Czechia selected this film for the 2026 Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

Andy Warhol remains unmapped by filmmakers with regard to his origins and personal life. The story of the icon connected with the history of Czechoslovak emigration — a hard life whose dreams subsequently came true in a country which provided him with the opportunity to achieve personal self-fulfilment and success, despite the differences.
‘With previously unseen material and fresh perspectives, the film sheds new light on Warhol’s introspective nature and his profound influence on art and culture.’ (Limelight Distribution)

Näissä Antonin Halas valokuvaajan ottamissa kuvissa tunnelmia näyttelyn avajaisista Kahden kotimaan kaikuja ryhmänäyttelystä, jossa Suomessa asuvat tšekkiläiset ja slovakialaiset taiteilijat tuovat esiin oman tarinansa, juurensa ja identiteettinsä taiteen kautta.📸

Näyttely kutsuu pysähtymään, katsomaan ja kuuntelemaan niitä kaikuja, jotka syntyvät, kun eri kulttuurit kohtaavat. 💙

Näyttely ja oheisohjelma järjestetään Galleria Laikkussa aivan Tampereen keskustassa 21.2.–29.3.2026. Elämyksiä ovat luomassa Bohemia-seura ry – yhteisö, joka tuo Suomessa asuvat tšekit ja slovakit yhteen, Tšekin suurlähetystö Helsingissä, Slovakian suurlähetystö Suomessa, Axamitum Moments Oy.
