Some places don't simply host conversations. They shape them. For Gaia Day, Juntos Farm became home to one of the most memorable gatherings of Ray of Light Awards 2026.

Surrounded by regenerative farmland, we welcomed thought leaders, filmmakers, activists and Indigenous voices for two powerful panel discussions exploring our relationship with the Earth, water and one another. As the sun began to set, the day continued around a beautiful farm-to-table dinner, prepared using fresh, seasonal ingredients grown and sourced with care. It was a reminder that meaningful dialogue doesn't only happen on a stage. It happens around shared tables, in nature, and in places built on community.

A special thank you to Christian af Jochnick, founder of Juntos Farm, whose commitment to regenerative living extends far beyond the land itself. As one of this year's Gaia Award panellists, Christian shared his vision for a future rooted in ecological responsibility, local communities and long-term thinking.

To Christian and the entire Juntos Farm team, thank you for opening your home to us and helping create such a special day.

"Love is a technology."

It is not simply a feeling. It is something we practise.

During our Mother Earth, Mother Water panel at , Queen Diambi reminded us that love asks something of us. The courage to meet those we disagree with. The willingness to stay open when it would be easier to close. The understanding that transformation begins in the way we relate to one another.

Some places become more than venues. They become part of the story.

Throughout Ray of Light Awards 2026, Fundación La Nave Salinas—the renowned contemporary art space founded by Lio Malca, opened its doors for a series of nominee film screenings and filmmaker Q&As, creating a space where stories continued long after the credits rolled. Just moments from our festival home at Boutique Hostal la Curandera de Salinas, audiences gathered to discover powerful independent films, meet the filmmakers behind them, and share conversations that stayed with us long afterwards.

Thank you to Fundación La Nave Salinas for your trust, generosity and belief in what ROLA is growing. And thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the week.

As we reflect on Ray of Light Awards 2026, our hearts are full of gratitude for every filmmaker, artist, musician, speaker, volunteer, ally, partner and supporter who helped shape this year's gathering. Every conversation, every act of generosity, every shared belief has become part of something much bigger than a single festival. This is our growing constellation.

Culture is never created in isolation. It grows through collaboration, through shared ideas, and through the people and organisations willing to open doors, ask thoughtful questions and create space for meaningful conversations.

This year, we were honoured to welcome an extraordinary group of Cultural Partners whose contributions shaped Ray of Light Awards in countless ways. From educational institutions and global foundations to local government, fellow festivals and purpose-driven organisations, each brought something unique to the festival.

Submissions for Ray of Light Awards 2027 are now open.

Every year, filmmakers, artists, musicians and storytellers from around the world entrust us with work that asks difficult questions, challenges perspectives and reminds us of our shared humanity.

Ray of Light Awards was created to celebrate stories that leave a lasting impact, not simply because they are beautifully told, but because they have the power to shift the way we see ourselves, each other and the world around us.

Some partnerships are rooted in a shared understanding of place. This year, we were delighted to welcome as an Official Partner of Ray of Light Awards.

An iconic part of Ibiza’s cultural landscape, Sluiz is entering a new chapter under the direction of Letizia Valle. Even before that chapter had begun, Letizia recognised what ROLA was creating on the island and chose to become part of the journey.

In this conversation, she shares why Ibiza is the natural home for a festival that celebrates storytelling, creativity and the people working to shape a more thoughtful future.
