I’m not very good at walking away from the party… 🤪🥂

Especially when my couple says:

“We wanted her to stay for a drink afterwards…”

What’s a girl supposed to do?! 😂

An intimate wedding in one of the prettiest corners of Altea Old Town.
Could it be any more romantic? Whitewashed rooftops, the iconic Altea church in the background, mountain views and plenty of early morning August sunshine.

From the getting-ready moments to those first glasses of champagne as newlyweds, this was the loveliest celebration of two people choosing each other. 🥂

Shannon & Matt’s wedding was never going to be all serious… and I was absolutely here for it! 😂🍾🎉

From a very questionable “first look” 😂, to groomsmen rolling in with a wheelbarrow full of beers, the fun started long before the ceremony even began.

And why stop there? A confetti smoke cannon, confetti send off and then a CO₂ cannon to get the party properly started! 💨🎉

One of my favourite parts of being a celebrant is helping couples plan those little moments that make their wedding feel completely them.

Your wedding ceremony can be heartfelt, meaningful and full of love…

…but it can also involve beer, smoke, confetti and a healthy dose of fun 😉

Who says weddings have to be serious? 🥂

25 years married and still choosing each other 🤍

Martin & Cathy celebrated 25 years of marriage with the most stunning vow renewal.
An intimate early-evening ceremony in the company of just their very closest family

And what a setting for it ✨

With the ocean breeze picking up after the intense August heat of the day, we gathered at the spectacular El Portet in Moraira.
Overlooking the Mediterranean at is the perfect setting for a moment that was all about love, lots of laughter, family and everything they’ve shared over the past 25 years.

Thank you to Martin & Cathy and their gorgeous family for including me in your celebration. I loved every second, standing beside you, telling your very unique love story.

Here’s to 25 years 🙌🏻 and to many more still to come.

After 16 years in the making …
James & Abby finally got their special day 🤍

A beautiful, intimate family wedding at a private villa in Calpe, surrounded by the people who matter most.

This ceremony wasn’t about putting on a big show. It was about finally saying I do, making it official and celebrating their love their way.

A pleasure as always to be working alongside the very talented 💋💄 bringing the glam and always good energy ✨

✨ The best part of my job as a celebrant has got to be seeing your guests engaged with the ceremony.

Yes, the ceremony is not just the bit that you have to get through before the Cava, cold beers and the saxophonist 🎷🥂

I love to see the guests who laugh and cry in all the right places (my job is done 🙌🏻😂) those that cheer before I’ve even finished saying…. “You may now kiss your…”
and the ones who come over and say “it wasn’t what I expected at all - that’s the best ceremony I’ve ever been to”

Every ceremony is different because every couple is different.

Whether there are just two of you on your hotel balcony planned with 2 weeks’ notice or 120 family and friends gathered at the culmination of a spectacularly planned, epic celebration;
my goal is always the same and that’s to create a ceremony that reflects you.

….. and of course there’s always a selfie or two to be had! 📸

The bride and groom who feel like friends by the end of the day, the friends and family that say “that’s the best ceremony I’ve ever been to”

Chriss was our celebrant and we cannot express just how amazing she was. Chriss provided a wonderful and bespoke script and ceremony for us. Prior to that we had a few video calls and Chriss’ kindness, compassion and expertise helped us in our wedding preparations and making the ceremony truly special. We found Chriss to be positive, easy to talk to and an all round wonderful person.
I initially approached choosing a celebrant as not an important part of the wedding, thinking it did not matter who we went with. However, after convincing from my now wife and video meetings with different celebrants; I can wholeheartedly say that selecting a celebrant is a massive part of any wedding and I am so glad we went with Chriss.
Chriss did not only provided her amazing services on the day but also supported on the lead up to the day to ensure we were prepared and not overwhelmed.

Thank you Chriss for all your help, your guidance and your wonderful presence. You helped make our wedding day such a special day and your considerate script ensured a mix of tears, laughs and smiles.

☀️ Everyone asks…

“What’s the plan if it rains?” 🌧️

But if you’re getting married in Spain, there’s another question that’s just as important…

“What’s the plan if it’s 36°C… with horrific humidity?” 🥵

I’ve honestly seen guests cope with biblical rain far better than relentless heat and humidity- it’s very unpleasant at best 🥵

A beautiful outdoor ceremony can quickly become uncomfortable if there’s no breeze, shade, chilled water, or somewhere to cool down. Your guests can become distracted and disengaged with your most important moment.

The best venues don’t just have a Plan B for rain… they have a Plan B for extreme heat too.

Your guests should be wiping away tears of joy, not sweat. 😉

If you’re viewing venues, don’t just ask about rain. Ask how they’ll keep everyone comfortable if the temperature soars.
