📢 A Very Important Message From Me to You ❤️

After three wonderful years of trading at local markets, I wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart.
Being part of these markets has given me the chance to share my food with so many of you, to meet loyal and supportive customers who return month after month, and to have conversations that truly light up my day. It has been a beautiful journey, and I’m so deeply grateful.
🌟 I also want to say a special thank you to all the amazing traders I’ve met and worked alongside over the years. It’s been a true pleasure to trade beside you. Your passion, resilience, and creativity have inspired me more than you know. I’ve learned so much from you, especially in those early days when your support and advice gave me confidence to grow.
I know firsthand how hard it is to trade at a market, the early mornings, the physical toll, the unpredictability. It’s not easy. So I just want to say: I see you, I appreciate you, and I will miss you all so much. ❤️
As many of you know, I run Layla’s Kitchen completely on my own. Every recipe, every bake, every market setup, it’s all me, and I always strive to give you the freshest, most delicious, and high-quality vegan food I possibly can.
But… it’s also been exhausting. Lately, I’ve been running on empty. And recently, it caught up with me, I ended up in the hospital due to extreme fatigue. It was a wake-up call. 💔
At the same time, I’m preparing to take the next big step in my journey…
🎉 My very own café is opening on the 1st of October at Jesmond United Reformed Church, and I need to give this new project the focus and care it deserves.
So, I’ve made a big decision:
I will be stepping away from markets from now until the café opens on October 1st.
This isn’t goodbye, it’s a short break to give me the space to make my dream café a reality. And I can’t wait to welcome you all there when we open!
☕ Layla’s Kitchen Café Opening Hours:
📍 Jesmond United Reformed Church
🕘 Wednesday to Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
🕘 Saturday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
This café is a small, personal project, a space where I hope to grow gently, serve you beautiful food, and build something sustainable for the long run.
Of course, I’d love your support to make it a success. Your encouragement means everything to me, and I feel so lucky to have such a kind community around me.
