***FOXING
Foxing are a band from St. Louis, Missouri and independently released their self-titled, fifth album Foxing on 13 September 2024. At its core, Foxing, is an album that balances hopefulness and nihilism, the pastoral with the tumultuous. Whether oscillating between visceral noise rock and intimate bedroom cassette experiments on opener „Secret History“ or cruising at the edge of collapse on „Barking,“ the dramatic dynamics that have long permeated Foxing’s music have never felt so extreme. Five albums into a discography defined by its own restlessness, Foxing is a document of a band finding comfort in their own chaos.

***OAKHANDS
„A Circle with Many Centres“ is a reference to a short story by Haruki Murakami. It is also the realization by Oakhands that life and feelings cannot be so logically differentiated and dissected as was assumed and practised on the previous album „TSOYGR“ but that feelings simply have to be experienced, and that all the personal conflicts are more strongly and universally connected than one would like. „A Circle with Many Centres“ can also be read as a late coming-of-age record. A post-adolescent record about the „true“ coming of age around 30, late individual Sturm & Drang phases. About the realisation of where the root of all personal conflicts lies: depression.

***STORMO (Screamo/Hardcore, IT)
Formed in 2007 in the Dolomite Alps region of Italy with a deep admiration for their native country’s hardcore punk luminaries in La Quiete and Raein, as well as eighties and nineties cult heroes in Negazione, Wretched and Indigesti. STORMO’s steady rise from unassuming beginnings has been one of consistently stirring songwriting. Having amassed over 400 shows across Europe and the UK - including support slots to Converge, Full of Hell and La Dispute, as well as appearances at Fluff Fest - STORMO’s latest album Endocannibalismo was released of February the10th 2023 via Prosthetic Records.

***DEATH GOALS (Queercore, UK)
Death Goals are a Queercore duo from the United Kingdom. Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Harry Bailey and drummer/vocalist George Milner, the band combine post-hardcore, screamo and noise rock to create a true cacophony of power. Lyrically, the band explore themes of q***r identity, mental health and political activism through their music, often blurring the lines between metaphor and realism to convey their message. The band hold an impressive live portfolio including numerous UK headline tours + UK/EU support slots with the likes of Heck, Portrayal Of Guilt and EYES amongst others. The band have also played several UK/EU festivals including Arctangent Festival (UK), Roadburn (NL) and Second Impact (IT).

Singing black-lit liturgies of bog bodies caked in mud, entranced by nocturnal landscapes flickering in the moon-glow and powered by q***r enchantment, Tristwch y Fenywod are a Welsh-language gothic avant-rock power-coven. Exhumed from the depths of Leeds’ experimental underground, the trio consist of Gwretsien Ferch Lisbeth (Guttersnipe, The Ephemeron Loop), Leila Lygad (Hawthonn) and Sidni Sarffwraig (Slaylor Moon, The Courtneys).

Stark, striking and bewitching, Tristwch y Fenywod’s self-titled album is their debut studio recording, following just 10 gigs and a live demo. Formed in 2022, Tristwch y Fenywod („The Sadness of Women”) record exclusively in the Welsh language, conjuring an eldritch, subterranean, alien folk music played on dual zither, electronic drums and bass guitar. With towering, siren-like vocals curling around the Welsh consonants, accompanied by stark, martial rhythms and swirling claw-plucked strings, Tristwch y Fenywod feels like an early 4AD recording dredged from the waters of an Anglesey swamp. The effect is simultaneously chilling and stirring.

Rites of Spring (a real emo) fest is one-day music festival by CoreChaos held at Munich’s DIY-haven Kafe Kult, inspired by the infamous „Real Emo“ copypasta-meme. Celebrate past, present and future perspectives on Screamo & Real Emo BUT FIRST SAY IT LOUD AND PROUD AND WITH A PINCH OF NaCI:

„Real Emo“ only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90’s Screamo scene. What is known by „Midwest Emo“ is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can’t help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat
HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music.
Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral.

We‘re incredible stoked to finally host Manchesters No-Wave-Dance-Noise legends MANDY, INDIANA in Munich.

„The Manchester quartet’s debut album fuses dance rhythms, corroded guitars, and seething vocals into a transfixing blend of violence and transcendence.“ - Pitchfork.

Recorded in caves, crypts, and shopping centres, Mandy, Indiana’s debut album i’ve seen a way is everywhere at once: channeling the chaos that surrounds our everyday lives, their debut is an exquisitely rendered portrait that transcends genre into a expertly-executed vision that’s entirely new and adventurous. A four-piece experimental noise band that formed out of the fertile Manchester scene, the group initially came to fruition after vocalist Valentine Caulfield and Scott Fair met sharing a bill with their former projects.

Produced by the band’s own Fair, they are like Thomas Bangalter locked in This Heat’s Cold Storage fridge studio with Special Interest for a weekend, keeping their setup minimal for maximum effect. Buried found sound samples, sprawling percussive experiments are arranged via oblique references to film soundtrack strategies. „We take inspiration from films where the language of cinema is disrupted,“ explains Fair, who takes Julia Ducournau’s narrative detournements as a key influence. „We want to alter textures, create clashes, and craft those moments when what you’re expecting to happen never comes – by subverting expectations you keep an audience on its toes.“

***LA PETITE MORT/LITTLE DEATH
Emo is currently undergoing a mass polarization. There’s several active, abrasive skramz scenes and, unfortunately, many more goober fratmo clubs. Is it so wrong to want a band that can find harmony in erratic hardcore and pugnacity in flamboyant art rock? Is it so sinful to want conference between beauty and mosh? I don’t think so, and neither does La Petite Mort. Following a thematic explored by past and contemporary legends Orchid and Shizune, DISCO indulges itself with dithyrambic reverie. The band describes the album as „a party you half-accidentally stumble into,“ a sort of drunken microdimension. Think of it as the Other Place in Coraline, but populated by vodka-blooded hardcore hants instead of beldam illusions and tortures. Little Death play with a celebratory verve, near-nauseous rhythms and guitar licks that sound as if they’re about to skip into a busy intersection somewhere in the hi p district of whatever city you live in. So many post-hardcore bands could learn from DISCO. „Heaviness“ doesn’t unilaterally explicate aggression, or vice versa. Gaiety has a fierceness too:
‚Roaring applause for the dying beast.
Throwing up! Throwing up, laughing
and sweating blood. Sweating blood.‘ -
