I spent this weekend at .music in Berlin. Having visited the previous one in Frankfurt, I was really looking forward to some inspiring talks and connecting with other people making heavy music.
This time was bigger than last year and I really liked the location . The talks were on a really high quality level and held by producers who shaped some well-known metal albums. It’s rare to have such a look behind the scenes so I found that super interesting - even though I will likely never make a symphonic metal record or do live drum recording. Also, just being there with so many like-minded musicians and producers was a great experience and I had many good conversations during the breaks and evenings. Can’t wait for the next one! 🤘

My new single "No Place to Survive" is out now! For this one, I worked with Moordyke, a metal musician from Northern Germany. Fusing melodic techno and cyberpunk-tinged electronics with the weight of dark wave guitars and metal-driven vocals, the track tells a story of sudden transformation, suppressed anger, and uncontrollable emotion — echoing the spirit of vampire tales, Jekyll & Hyde, and Spawn.

I made a new remix for singer/songwriter ARTISTWITHOUTANAME . When I first heard his original version of „Within this silent noise“, I immediately loved the vibe but I was missing a beat. ETANE will visit 674FM as a guest DJ this Thursday from 18:00-20:00 CET. His eclectic sets as well as his own productions are influenced by modern disco, indie dance, ebm, acid house, progressive house, and techno. His releases on esteemed labels such as Ombra International, Odonien Records or Logical Records highlight his versatility as a producer and serve as a testament to his creative output and meticulous attention to detail. Most recently, he performed at Zugvögel festival and released a remix for Dina Summer.

As part of the radio show “Sweet Headache”, we will kick it off with an interview about his various activities and then move to an exclusive DJ set played live by Etane.

Note that this is not the usual time slot for “Sweet Headache”. Monita from "Cup of Tea" has kindly offered her show slot on Thursday for this month. The show will also be recorded and broadcasted again on the regular slot of “Sweet Headache” on Saturday August 16 from 15:30-17:30.
