Hey guys,

over the last couple of weeks I noticed something very important:
A lot of the problems people experience with magic apps are actually NOT caused by the apps themselves.

Most of the time, the real issue is a lack of understanding of how iPhones, Bluetooth, APIs, push notifications and background processes actually work.

And to be fair:

Most people were simply never taught these things.
But at the same time, if we use professional technology in performances, there is also a certain responsibility to understand at least the fundamentals behind it.

Apps are not “magic”.
Bluetooth is not “magic”.
iOS is not a desktop computer.
And professional setups require understanding how these systems actually behave.

That’s exactly why I created this video.
This is probably one of the most important videos I’ve ever made for performers using modern magic technology.
We cover:

- iOS background behavior
- Bluetooth reliability
- APIs
- Push technology
- URL Schemes
- Offline communication
- Airplane Mode testing
- Professional performer setups
- And why some systems are more reliable than others.

And honestly:

I would HIGHLY recommend every single person using magic apps to watch this video completely — without skipping.
It’s around 20+ minutes that can potentially save you months of frustration later.

Hey 👋

I wanted to make a quick update regarding support, communication and the future structure of DV Magic.

Over the past months, DV Magic has grown significantly faster than originally expected. While that’s something I’m incredibly grateful for, it has also created a level of workload and support volume that is no longer realistically manageable by me alone through direct personal messages and individual communication.

Because of this, I’ve started restructuring and expanding support with additional help behind the scenes so that requests can be handled more efficiently, reliably and sustainably moving forward.

One thing that also became very clear over the last months is how much time daily support and communication can realistically take up behind the scenes. In some cases, support alone started consuming such a large part of the workday that it directly affected production, app development and overall workflow in ways that simply weren’t foreseeable in the beginning.

I don’t think most people fully realize how much time individual conversations, support requests and troubleshooting can add up to over the course of a day — especially while simultaneously building hardware, developing software and managing production.

That’s another major reason why support now needs a more centralized and structured system moving forward.

From now on, the official support channel will be:

This helps ensure that requests don’t get lost between WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram DMs, Facebook messages, etc., and allows support to be handled properly and fairly for everyone.

Please understand that direct messages may no longer receive replies regarding orders, production updates or technical support, as support is now being centralized and organized through the official support system.

For technical issues, bug reports or setup questions, the Facebook groups are actually the best place to post whenever possible. The advantage is that:

* common issues become visible for everyone
* solutions can help multiple users at once
* many questions can often be answered much faster by the community or support

If something is truly urgent (for example shortly before a performance), please clearly mention that it is urgent in your post inside the group and we will always do our best to help as quickly as possible.

Support hours are currently:
🕗 Monday – Friday
Central European Time (Germany)
09:00 – 20:00

Messages outside these hours may be answered the next business day.

⚠️ Even with these changes, I still personally keep an eye on the Facebook groups regularly and continue doing my best to make sure everyone receives the best support possible. That’s absolutely important to me. ⚠️

These changes are not meant negatively in any way — quite the opposite. The goal is to improve support quality, keep communication organized and make sure DV Magic can continue growing in a healthy and sustainable way.

We’re finally back from Blackpool and still recovering – what a weekend. Huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. We truly appreciate it.

A lot of you have been asking about the new products: we’re now organizing everything and the first new releases will be added to the shop within the next two weeks. We have a lot of exciting launches planned for this year and we’re currently working on some seriously next-level stuff.

Quick note for everyone waiting on orders: due to Blackpool, we unfortunately had to pause shipping, and there was a small issue with our store notice during that time. Starting today, we’re processing all pending orders. As soon as your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

That’s honestly the only way to describe it.

Blackpool 2026… I have no words for the overwhelming support and insane interest in DV Magic. Seeing so many of you at our very first own booth was unreal.

After a 14-hour drive back home I’m completely exhausted — but even more excited than ever.

We actually SOLD OUT on some of our effects on day two.
Day. Two. 🤯

We never expected this. Not even close.

But what meant even more than that was finally putting faces to names.
Seeing people in real life that I’ve only known from messages, comments and the digital world. That was special.

Making new friends.
Having real conversations.
Sharing ideas.
Feeling that energy live.

That’s what this is really about.

Because of your support, we’re now able to take the next big steps and finally build the things we’ve been planning behind the scenes.

And trust me… this is only the beginning.

I’m beyond grateful. Truly.
