Köln TONİGHT House of Namus

Before I step onto a stage, there are always hours—and sometimes days—of preparation behind it: choosing every costume, every detail, every little piece of the look.

As a drag artist and host, every stage is special to me, whether I perform for 5 people or 500. Every person who comes to see us deserves the same love, care and respect.

Tonight, I’m bringing all of this energy to Cologne for a new Club Night of House of Namus—a journey we started four years ago. I’m excited and ready to celebrate with you.

House of Namus has always been about creativity, freedom, equality and love: a space where colourful, q***r, female and marginalised communities can come together, feel safe, dance and celebrate without judgement.

So dress up, sparkle, and come exactly as the version of yourself that makes you feel the most beautiful. 💛

And because I deeply appreciate everyone who puts love and imagination into their looks, we have a little surprise:

What a beautiful chapter in Gelsenkirchen.

A little journey from Manifesta Biennial with House of Namus .

Bringing our Kuir Kabarett into St. Anna Kirche / Engin Hatay Musikhalle and watching this space transform through q***r, migrant and BIPOC bodies, stories, music, drag and joy was something very special.

For one evening, a church became a space of celebration, freedom and community. And once again: wherever our community goes, we bring our own energy with us — and create something beautiful together.

Producing, curating and hosting this night, bringing together incredible local artists and performers from different cities, was such a joy. Thank you to every performer and everyone behind the scenes for your talent, trust, time, work and love. 🫶🏽

Getting into drag, for me, has always been a way of giving space to the femininity that lives inside me. And hosting is deeply connected to that same feeling of trust and belonging. This is why I mostly host the spaces I create myself — or collaborations where I can bring my community and artists with me.

Because for me, a stage is never only about who stands in the spotlight. It is also about who gets invited onto it, how they are treated behind it, and whether they feel safe enough to truly shine.

Thank you Gelsenkirchen, Manifesta 16 Ruhr, House of Namus and everyone who shared this beautiful chapter with us. 🫶🏽🧿✌🏽❤️🪭🥰

BREMEN PRIDE

This year Summer I made a conscious choice to put more of my energy into alternative Pride spaces and into creating visibility for our own communities.

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it:
“If they don’t give us space, we create our own”.

And last weekend, I was so happy to join with Queeraspora e.V. at Bremen Pride and take over the streets together with our q***r migrant, SWANA, BIPOC & Ballroom communities.

On our truck, Pride sounded like us too — SWANA sounds, Arabic & Oriental beats, Afro, Latin, Ballroom and global BIPOC sounds moving through the city. Seeing our people dancing, celebrating, taking space and being visible together in an official Pride march felt incredibly powerful.

A huge thank you to Queeraspora for inviting me and creating this space with so much love, work and intention. I met so many beautiful new people and once again felt how much becomes possible when we support each other instead of waiting for someone else to make room for us.

İyi ki varız.
İyi ki bir aradayız.
And together, we keep getting louder. 🫶🏽✌🏽

Some beautiful memories from our live podcast at Doxumentale Film- und Medienfestival Berlin Berlin⁠

So happy to have been part of Stories from the Stories from the Beauty Parlor , which went on to win Best Podcast at Doxumentale 2026. Huge congratulations to Annamaria Annamaria Olsson and the whole Stories from the Beauty Parlor⁠ team — and thank you for continuing to create space for women, q***r voices, migrant stories and communities around the world.

In our live conversation, we spoke about beauty, drag and q***rness, but also about what it means to create your own space when there was never really a space waiting for you.

From arriving in Germany and surviving on around €100 a month, creating my first looks from whatever was available, to building performances, events and community spaces through solidarity, DIY culture and the support of other refugees and q***r people — and continuing this work for almost ten years, often without institutional funding.

We talked about alternative drag and performance spaces, club and festival culture, what Berlin has gained and lost between generations, and how funding cuts especially affect migrant and refugee-led cultural spaces. But most importantly, we talked about how community can create something from almost nothing — and keep it alive.

This year, together with our community, we decided to create something different.

Instead of waiting for pride spaces, we built it.

Representation doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because people insist on making space for voices that are too often left out.

As a refugee, a migrant, and a cultural worker, I often missed seeing the richness of our communities reflected on Pride stages. Too often, the same formats and the same stories were repeated, while so many incredible artists and cultures remained invisible.

This has never been about being against other q***r spaces or Pride organizers. We know how much work, love, and dedication goes into creating these events, and we deeply respect everyone who makes them possible.

Our intention has simply been to make sure our communities, our cultures, our music, and our artists are visible too. ❗️Pride is about visibility, belonging, and celebration. We don’t want to be included symbolically—we want to be seen, heard, and celebrated as equals.

So this year, from Berlin to Cologne and now Hamburg, we created our own alternative Pride spaces. Places where q***r migrant, refugee, and BIPOC artists could perform, celebrate, and simply belong.

A huge thank you to COMMAND Q***R , Gängeviertel , every artist, volunteer, and every person who trusted and supported these spaces. You reminded us that another kind of Pride is not only possible—it already exists.

I truly believe:
“If there isn’t space for us, we’ll create our own”.

Here’s to more cultural diversity.
More visibility.
More communities shaping what Pride can be.
More Alternative Pride spaces.
