The Antiklub concept allows Artists, performers, DJs and visual artists the opportunity to present their work outside of the standard club and expected constraints imposed by the commercial club industry. An upside down, or « other » to the accepted club norm, whilst remaining to provide a space to explore music, to dance and experience culture together.

The evening itself is reversed from standard norms, moving from DJ to live acts.

With Label heads invited to not only play an early DJ set, but to present a range of music that may seem counter to their label releases. Set within an early exhibition space, where musicians are invited to present their visual works.

Live elements are slowly introduced through a series of hybrid performances, utilising electronic music and organic instruments. Bridging between the DJ and live portions of the evening.

Finally, arriving at a series of live acts aimed to replicate the experience of the late-night dancefloor, generally inhabited by the DJ.

Musicians and DJs will be invited to take part in the MILK ME radio interview sessions prior to their performances, exploring the how and why of their craft, with interviews and the audio of the performances being recorded/documented, and released, once again aimed at breaking the standard club concept of the undocumented or unexplored concepts behind the performance.

A night in reverse, an Antiklub.

The Antiklub aims to explore the idea that Art, in any form, is not bound by industry constraints, and if given the platform, will thrive in any constellation.
