Tijana T closes the main open-air stage.

Acid-dominant techno laced with breakbeat, house, electro and trance. A style she's carried from Belgrade out into the world, and onto the floors at Berghain and Panorama Bar. Opening or closing, terrace or basement, sunrise for a few hundred or festival stage for tens of thousands: the room changes, the instinct doesn't.

That instinct lands on Štvanice as the daylight goes. Her set takes the island through its final open-air hour and hands the night over to what comes next, indoors.

Five international names on the bill. None of them are the kind of booking you make to fill a poster. They are the kind of booking you make because of the sets they have played for ten years in rooms that take this music seriously.

Watching them in daylight on Stvanice will not feel like watching a headliner. It will feel like watching artists who know what they are doing, in a venue built for it.

Behind the booth since 2013, Yan has evolved into a household name within the electronic music scene in Prague. Not subscribing to genre boundaries, the co-founder of Harmony Rec. and resident at Ankali has held floors here for years.

While Yan does not shy away from fusing sounds of various decades and directions, he always stays in touch with the crowd on the dancefloor, catching theright energy with ease. That sounds simple. Almost no one does it well.

The shows that back it up: Fold, RSO, Jasna 1, Garage Noord. Festival slots at Monument and Dekmantel Selectors.

At Sound Open Air he plays the outdoor stage in daylight, between Adam Pits and Mama Snake. Daylight on the water, low end carrying across the island, the
hour the afternoon stops behaving like one. May 23 is the only day it happens.

Both stages are covered. The outdoor stage has a roof over the floor and the rig, built for the open-air sound but sealed against the weather above it. The indoor stage is indoor. That is the short answer to every forecast question.

Rain does not cancel anything. Sun does not bake anyone out. The sky stops being a reason to hesitate, which is usually the last reason left.

Combined open-air and indoor pass is almost gone.

That's the reality behind Sound. Behind noRemorse, Soft Limits, Fuchs2, and every crew building Prague's underground from their own corner, in their own stolen hours. Nobody here does this full-time. Everyone here does it anyway.

Because the music doesn't wait for a convenient moment. It pulls you back to the studio, to the conversation, to the plan that starts with "what if we put all of this on one island."

That's what happens May 23. The crews that have been shaping this city's sound: together, on four stages, from daylight to dawn. Seventeen hours where the thing that keeps each of us up at night finally shares the same concrete, the same river air, the same stretch of time.

None of them could build this alone. That's the point.

Most of what happens in this city starts after midnight and ends when you wish it hadn't. The daytime format is different. You arrive in the sun. You eat before you come. You dance with your whole body because the afternoon doesn't punish you for it.

By sunset, you've already been somewhere. The transition from outdoor light to indoor bass happens around you without anyone deciding. The night is a continuation, not a start.

No alarm you'll regret setting. No morning you need to recover from. Just seventeen hours that begin when the city is still awake and end when it wakes up again.

There's a shift that happens in Mama Snake's sets around the forty-minute mark. The trance threads pull tighter, the techno underneath stops being a foundation and becomes the whole architecture. You stop tracking genre. You're just inside it.

They've been building that space for over a decade. Copenhagen scene, Club RAUM residency, a sound that moves between ecstatic release and deep melancholy without ever losing the rhythm. Amniote Editions, their own label, runs on the same instinct, ambient next to hard techno, vulnerability next to precision. A catalogue that refuses to separate the two because they never have.

Before the decks, they studied medicine. You hear it in the way they read a room, knowing exactly when to push and when to hold steady. Raw emotion delivered with surgical clarity. That duality is the whole point.

They play the Open Air stage at 19:00, the hour when the light starts to change over the river and the island shifts underneath you. The concrete still holds the warmth. The sky has moved on. So has the dancefloor.
