Alright, I need to vent about the absolute absurdity that’s currently happening in the music world. 🎧 If you make music and want to get it out there to people on Spotify, sooner or later, you’ll stumble upon those "miracle" platforms promising you the world. ⛰️💰
The whole system is designed absolutely brilliantly. Well... brilliantly for them, that is. 🤷♂️
It basically works like this: you take your real, hard-earned cash and exchange it for some fictional "points" or "credits." Then, you send these points to so-called playlist "curators" so they can listen to your track and potentially place it somewhere. The catch is that these points cost a pretty penny. 💸
And here comes the best part. The person on the other end listens to it (or maybe they don't), clicks the "reject" button, and copies-and-pastes some generic BS like: "Sorry bro, it’s got a super cool vibe, but it doesn’t quite fit the concept of my playlist." 🙄🤦♂️
And what about your money? Well, you're obviously never seeing that again. You just paid a ridiculous amount of money for absolute nothing. For someone to maybe sacrifice twenty seconds of their life just to reject you. No guarantees, no service, just pure gambling where the casino wins 99% of the time. 🎰❌
Imagine if anyone did this in real life. You go to a grocery store, load your groceries onto the conveyor belt, pay at the register, and the cashier tells you: "You know what? These buns don't visually match my vibe today. I'm keeping the money, you're not getting the food, now get out." 🛒🥖 And you would just shrug your shoulders and leave.
In the normal world, a business owner like that would end up in handcuffs or with their door kicked in. In the music industry of 2026, it’s celebrated as a "revolutionary tool for independent artists." 🤡
What a time to be alive. So, if you don't know what to do with your money, forget about charity—just send it to some anonymous playlist hoarders so they can tell you that you're good, but unlucky. 🖕🎵
P.S. For the local internet detectives and trolls: Yes, the image was generated by AI. 🤖 And yes, I had AI touch up this text too, because unlike those playlist scammers, I actually do things efficiently. Plus, I can now take the money I saved on a graphic designer and copywriter and immediately flush it down the toilet for more music credits! 🪙🚽
