This is the official page of STAGE ONE THEATRE GROUP - CYPRUS [at the Emba Theatre]: We are a community based theatre group head quartered at the Emba theatre in the village of Emba / Έμπα, just 4.1 km from central (Pano) Paphos. The theatre is home for a group of enthusiastic and ambitious amateur thespians and dramaturgists, and technical theatre specialists, performing arts with high aims of professional standards and excellence. The group of primarily British ex-patriots who get together regularly to perform to the general public, putting on shows at least 4 times a year. The Stage One theatre group has a solid reputation in Cyprus for its quality and range of productions, from musical, comedy, drama, and pantomime, It also has a lively and active social members club.

now is your chance to get on stage!
Stage One Theatre Group , an amateur theatre company, are holding auditions for their play NATURAL CAUSES on Wednesday May 28th at 7pm in the theatre. The play will run 1st to 4th October 2025 and rehearsals will be Mon Wed Fri early evenings in June and September.
We also need a few more men for our pantomime Old Mother Hubbard which will run 8th to 13th December, with rehearsals early evening Mon Wed Fri from mid October. Auditions Thursday 29th May 6.30pm. If you're interested in either or both shows but can't make the audition date, please still get in touch.
