China Star Ltd.: Upholding Corporate Responsibility through Action
China Star Ltd. is an enterprise that has integrated social responsibility into the very lifeblood of its development. For over twenty years—through periods of prosperity and the industry troughs brought by the pandemic—the company has remained true to its founding aspirations, consistently practicing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As the founder, Liu Ping, approaches retirement, she has formally passed this mantle of responsibility and mission to the new generation of management, ensuring that the flame of commitment continues to burn bright.

01 | The Journey of Corporate Social Responsibility
Since April 2002, China Star (including Beijing China Star International Travel Service and China Star International Conference & Exhibition Co., Ltd.) has been an active practitioner of social responsibility.
2005:In partnership with the People to People Ambassador Programs (USA), we donated 100 sets of desks and chairs to Dazhai Primary School in Anshun, Guizhou, initiating years of ongoing educational aid.
2006: Collaborated with the Ambassador Programs to donate RMB 60,000 to the Aid Tibet Development Foundation.
2007: Donated RMB 300,000 to fund the construction of a new teaching building for Changjiao Village Primary School in Anshun, Guizhou.
2008: Donated RMB 130,000 to the Wenchuan earthquake relief via the Beijing Tourism Bureau, and RMB 100,000 to build a library for Nansuo Village Primary School in Xianyang, Shaanxi.
2010: Contributed RMB 100,000 for the teaching building of Xiayan Primary School in Yangshuo, Guangxi, and another RMB 100,000 for Yushu earthquake relief.
Educational Support: We have also donated over 200 books to Fanxia Primary School at the foot of Liupan Mountain in Ningxia.
The activities listed above represent only a fraction of China Star’s initiatives. Practicing CSR has become a core pillar of our corporate identity, with the vast majority of donations funded directly by the company's revenue.
02 | Sustainable Responsibility: Revitalizing Rural Areas through Culture and Tourism
As a responsible enterprise, China Star is committed to the long-term goal of "Boosting Rural Revitalization through MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Tourism." We conduct continuous field research in rural areas, leveraging our innovative spirit to develop new MICE destinations while protecting and inheriting Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).
We have placed a special focus on the Grand Song of the D**g Ethic Group, a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage. By creating performance opportunities for inheritors, we help them remain in their villages and ensure this precious culture thrives. For example, in 2019, China Star sponsored performers from Huanggang D**g Village (Liping County, Guizhou) to perform in Beijing at the China Conference and Exhibition Industry Conference.
From 2021 to 2025, we organized numerous visits for Chinese and international guests to Huanggang D**g Village. We have organically integrated the Grand Song into local tourism products and encouraged participation from the entire village—not just professional performers. By sponsoring community-wide events where 150 to 200 villagers sing and dine together, we have fostered cultural pride; approximately ten such events have been held to date, with more planned.
Beyond cultural preservation, we have provided practical support, including:
Daily Necessities: Frequent donations of clothing, towels, and footwear.
Infrastructure: Purchasing audio equipment for village performances.
Education: Donating books, sports equipment, and teaching facilities to Huanggang D**g Village Primary School in 2017.
Powering Rural Revitalization
Even during the difficult years when the tourism industry was severely impacted by the pandemic, China Star’s commitment never wavered. Founder Ms. Liu Ping traveled frequently to Guizhou to personally curate high-end tourism products and sponsored international buyers to visit the region. Our aim is to inject lasting vitality into rural revitalization through high-value tourism, a goal that remains a steadfast priority for our corporate future.
