Senior Dutch Travel Professional’s Inspection in Guizhou China——The same parting carries different depths of feeling
Today, we said “tot ziens” to our wonderful Dutch friends as they began their journey home via Congjiang High-Speed Rail Station and Guangzhou.
As comrades on the frontlines of tourism, every goodbye is part of the job. But this one felt different. It wasn't just about seeing guests off—it was about sending away friends who had truly connected with a place.
They left carrying more than souvenirs. They took with them:
🌄 The breathtaking landscapes of Southeast Guizhou
🎭 The unforgettable spirit of Miao and D**g cultures
🤝 The genuine, warming hospitality of the Guizhou people
These aren’t just travel memories; they’re stories to be shared, bonds that stretch across continents, and the very reason we do what we do. This is the real power of travel—it turns farewells into “see you soon”s.

Senior Dutch Travel Professional’s Inspection in Guizhou China——Huanggang D**g Village, Guizhou – "Blocking-the-Gate" Welcome Ceremony with Antiphonal Singing
In the heart of Guizhou, the rules are simple: Either you sing a duet, or you drink the wine! 🍷
To match the beautiful polyphonic traditions of the D**g people, our guest countered with a global classic—a multi-part rendition of "Are You Sleeping" (Two Tigers). It was a moment of pure joy, proving that music and hospitality are the ultimate universal languages.
At China Star Ltd., we don't just organize trips; we create authentic connections. By bringing international travel experts deep into the mountains of Guizhou, we continue our mission of Rural Revitalization—blending world-class MICE expertise with the raw, untouchable beauty of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Guizhou is ready. Are you? 🏔️✨

China Star Ltd.: Upholding Corporate Responsibility through Action

China Star Ltd. is an enterprise that has integrated social responsibility into the very lifeblood of its development. For over twenty years—through periods of prosperity and the industry troughs brought by the pandemic—the company has remained true to its founding aspirations, consistently practicing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As the founder, Liu Ping, approaches retirement, she has formally passed this mantle of responsibility and mission to the new generation of management, ensuring that the flame of commitment continues to burn bright.

---

01 | The Journey of Corporate Social Responsibility

Since April 2002, China Star (including Beijing China Star International Travel Service and China Star International Conference & Exhibition Co., Ltd.) has been an active practitioner of social responsibility.

2005:In partnership with the People to People Ambassador Programs (USA), we donated 100 sets of desks and chairs to Dazhai Primary School in Anshun, Guizhou, initiating years of ongoing educational aid.
2006: Collaborated with the Ambassador Programs to donate RMB 60,000 to the Aid Tibet Development Foundation.
2007: Donated RMB 300,000 to fund the construction of a new teaching building for Changjiao Village Primary School in Anshun, Guizhou.
2008: Donated RMB 130,000 to the Wenchuan earthquake relief via the Beijing Tourism Bureau, and RMB 100,000 to build a library for Nansuo Village Primary School in Xianyang, Shaanxi.
2010: Contributed RMB 100,000 for the teaching building of Xiayan Primary School in Yangshuo, Guangxi, and another RMB 100,000 for Yushu earthquake relief.
Educational Support: We have also donated over 200 books to Fanxia Primary School at the foot of Liupan Mountain in Ningxia.

The activities listed above represent only a fraction of China Star’s initiatives. Practicing CSR has become a core pillar of our corporate identity, with the vast majority of donations funded directly by the company's revenue.

02 | Sustainable Responsibility: Revitalizing Rural Areas through Culture and Tourism

As a responsible enterprise, China Star is committed to the long-term goal of "Boosting Rural Revitalization through MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Tourism." We conduct continuous field research in rural areas, leveraging our innovative spirit to develop new MICE destinations while protecting and inheriting Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).

We have placed a special focus on the Grand Song of the D**g Ethic Group, a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage. By creating performance opportunities for inheritors, we help them remain in their villages and ensure this precious culture thrives. For example, in 2019, China Star sponsored performers from Huanggang D**g Village (Liping County, Guizhou) to perform in Beijing at the China Conference and Exhibition Industry Conference.

From 2021 to 2025, we organized numerous visits for Chinese and international guests to Huanggang D**g Village. We have organically integrated the Grand Song into local tourism products and encouraged participation from the entire village—not just professional performers. By sponsoring community-wide events where 150 to 200 villagers sing and dine together, we have fostered cultural pride; approximately ten such events have been held to date, with more planned.

Beyond cultural preservation, we have provided practical support, including:
Daily Necessities: Frequent donations of clothing, towels, and footwear.
Infrastructure: Purchasing audio equipment for village performances.
Education: Donating books, sports equipment, and teaching facilities to Huanggang D**g Village Primary School in 2017.

Powering Rural Revitalization
Even during the difficult years when the tourism industry was severely impacted by the pandemic, China Star’s commitment never wavered. Founder Ms. Liu Ping traveled frequently to Guizhou to personally curate high-end tourism products and sponsored international buyers to visit the region. Our aim is to inject lasting vitality into rural revitalization through high-value tourism, a goal that remains a steadfast priority for our corporate future.

🌄 A hidden desert dune oasis in Guizhou’s mountains? Yes, please!

Tianxing Valley (天星谷) — tucked deep in Guizhou’s rugged peaks — feels like a mirage: golden sand dunes rise dramatically against emerald forests, creating a surreal contrast that blurs “mountain” and “desert” into one dreamy landscape. 🏜️✨

Senior Dutch Travel Professional’s Inspection in Guizhou China——Gathered on the Fields of Guizhou
Guizhou welcomed us with a scene that felt like a living painting:
• Our homeland lies upon fields of hope.
• Cooking smoke drifts lazily over newly built houses.
• A small river winds its way past the quiet beauty of the villages.
In these moments, you realize that despite coming from different corners of the world, we all find peace in the same simple things: a warm meal, a flowing river, and the timeless rhythm of village life.

Senior Dutch Travel Professional’s Inspection in Guizhou China——In Huanggang D**g Village, Guizhou, our Dutch friend got a bit carried away with excitement.
In Huanggang D**g Village, the energy was infectious—so much so that our friend Stan got a bit carried away!
The celebratory chant you hear in the video was actually invented by Stan’s brother. Back in the Netherlands, it’s their go-to anthem after winning a handball match. I don't think his brother ever imagined that his locker-room creation would one day echo through the mountains of Southwest China, being belted out by the D**g people.
It’s a beautiful reminder that joy has no borders. Whether it's a sports arena in Europe or a traditional village in Guizhou, the spirit of celebration is a universal language.

Yubeng, Yunnan — the last piece of pure land hidden in the clouds.
Nestled deep in the sacred Meili Snow Mountains, this secluded Tibetan village is unreachable by car. You walk — through pine forests, over prayer flag–lined trails, beside glacial streams — to find a world where time slows and heaven feels close.
Here, every sunrise lights up snow peaks, every prayer wheel spins with quiet faith, and every step is a cleansing of the soul.
Have you ever walked to the edge of the world just to listen to your own heartbeat? 🏔️🙏

Senior Dutch Travel Professional’s Inspection in Guizhou China——Revisiting Langde Village after 20 years to visit Yang Ayong
True travel connections aren’t measured in days, but in decades.
Twenty years ago, Ping Liu accompanied Kees van Galen to visit Yang Ayong, a Miao woman in Langde Village, Guizhou. This year, we returned. The hardworking entrepreneur we once met, who built her guesthouse and restaurant from the ground up, welcomed us as old friends at dawn with wildflowers she had just picked from the mountain.
Over homemade rice wine, she sang a Miao toast. In return, Kees and his wife brought tulip bulbs from the Netherlands—a gift held for 20 years—and shared how to plant them. “I can’t believe you still remember me after all this time,” she said, deeply moved.
This is the unseen infrastructure of meaningful travel: the long-term relationships that turn a destination into a home, a host into a friend, and a journey into a story that grows richer with time. It’s these human connections that truly endure, far beyond any itinerary.

Senior Dutch Travel Professional’s Inspection in Guizhou China——Guiyang MMM Bar
Creativity thrives in the most dynamic places. Even in Southwest China, the vibrant energy of Guiyang’s youth is reshaping the city’s scene. High above the city at MMM Bar, we experienced just that—a space where stunning design, craft cocktails, and an effortlessly cool atmosphere converge.
Here, we reunited with Dutch friends, toasting under the stars to the kind of global connection that feels both exciting and natural. The most memorable spaces speak a language beyond words, built on surprising details, flowing ideas, and a shared sense of discovery. Places like this remind us that great hospitality isn’t about location, but vision.
Cheers to the creatives building the future, one inspired experience at a time.
