A few days ago …
On the first day of the year, I returned to my sacred place here; the slopes of Dartmoor, to open a new page, a new year in my journal.
I came to reflect with gratitude on the year that has passed, and to imagine, envision, and invoke the one unfolding ahead.
I asked God for a sign; for change, for courage in decision… and she answered everywhere:
in the cold air and wandering breeze,
in soft rain and sudden light,
in the shimmer of unseen particles,
in the ancient power of stone and hill and open grassland,
and in the quiet miracle of a rainbow, appearing simply to say hello.
This is why I love the countryside, where everything feels alive, enchanted, and divine.
And Dartmoor, above all, where the land is not only magical, but ancestral and deeply mystic.
Wishing you all a gentle beginning to a beautiful new year.
Sending blessings from my small corner of the world… Farrland.
