Sully, aka KUUMA (), is a 22-year-old DJ and cultural curator driven by a deep passion for Black music in its most organic forms: jazz, disco, gospel, African music, Caribbean music, and Latin American sounds.

His journey reflects a multifaceted identity: he is a graduate of the Sorbonne’s School of Political Science, as well as a DJ and artistic programmer.

As part of our PIÑATA RADIO series, he presents a genre-crossing mix that moves from the Haitian compas of Blacks People d’Haïti to the soulful voice of Peven Everett, while also featuring timeless classics of Ghanaian music.

Born in Alexandria and raised across Dubai, Adham is a New York–based DJ and selector with a relentless ear for the groove, the kind that pulls you toward the floor before you’ve even decided to move. His sets drift effortlessly through house, disco, electro, and tech house, held together by warm, dubby basslines and a deep instinct for uncovering rhythm in unexpected places.

Recorded on Valentine’s Day, this mix reveals a softer, more introspective side of his sound, one that doesn’t always surface in club settings. It leans into the beauty and warmth of early deep house, weaving through smooth, soulful textures and slipping into the hypnotic, spacey grooves of early UK tech house and garage.
