Susie Star
Through the horizon, up to the stars and out into the galaxy - here comes Susie Star. Whether it's cable mess or turntables, experimental drone sounds or driving electronica: Lena, also known as Susie Star, dedicates herself to contemporary electronic music in all its facets. As a sought-after live act and highly regarded DJ, experimenting is her thing, whether in DJing or playing live. She enjoys field recordings as much as discovering strange sounds or digging up funky gems from her record collection. Musically socialized at the record store Con.trust Music in her hometown of Linz (AT), she has been spinning vinyl since 2002 on "the boards that mean the world." Now a resident of Zurich due to her studies in electroacoustic composition, she is one of the toughest DJs around and still plays exclusively with vinyl. In this Disco Sour Machine night, Susie Star performs with a DJ set in Geneva and manages to impress with spacey sounds and classic techno grooves.

Her ancestors came to Canada from the frozen Arctic and the mountains of Transylvania. That was over a hundred years ago, though Claire Kenway inherited their nomadic spirit, zigzagging her way across Canada before landing in Montréal where she now lives. Music has been a part of her forever, as she grew up to the sounds of her mother’s violin performances and studied a variety of instruments: violin (of course!), voice, bass guitar and a little jazz piano. A bit of a gear ju**ie, Kenway has a small but mighty arsenal of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, and drum machines. Something just flows when those machines come alive and as such, she has several EPs on vinyl and has released on labels Conceptual, Monoclap, Hushlamb, Archipel and more.

Brave and Fragile yet persistent nature capable of staying true to herself despite whatever and whoever.
Ponura, a dear agent of Brave! Factory Artists, is in the first place a DJ and selector, now based in German Leipzig. Yana started her dance music journey in Kyiv, influenced by the so-called „dirty Kyiv electro“ purveyed by Progressive Future label. While being a close friend of the label, Yana has been developing her unique, unlike-anyone style characterized by the fusion of breakbeat, electro, dubstep, bass, and techno, which somehow in her hands is never dirty and always sexy. Later her innovative approach to playing music secured her residency at Closer club. Since 2016, Ponura has been playing at numerous venues and events in Ukraine and around the world, like Strichka, ICKRA, Brave! Factory, ∄, RSO, Zenner, Blitz Club, and many more. Recently, one could also enjoy seeing and hearing her play at Boiler Room, HÖR, and Rinse France.
