4 VS 5 TO GET INTO THE FINAL FOUR

Michael Allen Richard Clark has his work cut out for him this Thursday at Wrestling United’s THE NIGHT THE GAME CHANGED. After finishing 4th in the voting of THE MARCH FOR GOLD with 13.6% from respondents, Clark automatically qualified to be in the “win and you’re in” to control his own destiny. Problem is, Clark believed he was going to finish in the top 3 of the voting, so he agreed to wrestle West Coast stand out Sebastian Wolfe on the same night. Now the man with the longest name in wrestling, fresh off of signing with Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling will really have his work cut out for him.

Enter, Taylor The Impaler. Who has only had 3 matches in Wrestling United to establish himself, and has already developed an indelible connection with the fanbase. Taylor finished with 11% of the vote good for 5th place, with an impressive 2 and 1 win-loss record. He is tough as nails and he has really made a name for himself as a no-nonsense, stand up for what you believe in, ass-kicker. Taylor made it known when he signed with Wrestling United that winning a title in Central Canada was high on his list of goals.

And the match to get into the main-event for THE MARCH FOR GOLD, has been signed. One guy will advance, the other will be forced to regroup. This Thursday, at THE NIGHT THE GAME CHANGED at The Park Theatre.

NOW THERE ARE THREE

Wrestling United is on a path and it is THE MARCH FOR GOLD. The main event for the March 27th event will feature “The Final Four” four wrestlers chosen by virtue of their records and the choice of the Wrestling United loyal fans who have voted. And as of today we know who the official number three contender is.

“The God of Thunder” Andy Anderson has secured the third spot, with an impressive 15.3% of votes from respondents. Anderson has a 2 and 2 win-loss record in match competition, having faced the likes of Dirty Dango, Shane Madison and Tyler James.

The most experienced wrestler on the roster, Andy has a huge following as one of the company’s top fan favourites. He will be tested mightily in the final four match, with “The Pistol Punk” TJ Cannon and “The Healer” Harlon Abbott already slated for the match. This Thursday, the 4th and 5th top vote getters will wrestle for the final spot to qualify to be the first ever Wrestling United Champion.

JOEY JANELA IS INJURED, REQUIRES SURGERY, AND WILL NOT BE AT WRESTLING UNITED THIS THURSDAY

Wrestling United has learned that Joey Janela is dealing with a significant arm injury, and as a result, has opted to undergo surgery to repair the injury.

Janela wrestled on Saturday night for the joint event with Game Changer Wrestling and Jersey Championship Wrestling, losing in a first-round tournament matchup against Atticus Cogar. Reports began circulating throughout the wrestling world that Janela injured his arm in a match a few weeks ago and was attempting to tough his way through it. However, he has opted to have surgery almost immediately to avoid complications from the injury.

Janela was slated to wrestle against “The Healer” Harlon Abbott this Thursday in Winnipeg for Wrestling United’s THE NIGHT THE GAME CHANGED. Wrestling United is in the process of finding an opponent for Abbott, and hopes to release that information later today.

Wrestling United apologizes to the fans for the late change to the lineup, and encourages any fans who have questions or refund requests, to please contact us directly at [email protected]. We also want to wish Joey a speedy recovery from his surgery.

Thursday night’s event will now feature a main event headlined by AEW/GCW women’s sensation Megan Bayne as she takes on DEFY superstar “The Rain City Stretcher” Liiza Hall.

A fully amended lineup is expected to be released later today.

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT
“THE JACKED JESUS” MEETS “THE PISTOL PUNK”

Wrestling United’s THE NIGHT THE GAME CHANGED is going to be a night where a lot of things could shake up for the roster.

And one match that could alter the course for the men involved is a one on one match up feature Tommy Lee Curtis and TJ Cannon.

Both men have been highly successful in Wrestling United, and there is a lot to lose. Cannon was the fans choice as number 1 contender sporting a 3 and 1 record in 4 matches. Tommy Lee Curtis has a 2 and 2 record, though it should be noted that one of those losses was to “All Ego” Ethan Page only a month before Page went on to be NXT Champion. TLC’s other loss was a disqualification loss against “The Ice King” Jack Ledger.

The man who refers to himself as “The Jacked Jesus” was said to be miffed at the way the voting was conducted to decide the main event for THE MARCH FOR GOLD, and believes a big victory over TJ Cannon would throw a wrench into things.

Wrestling United’s THE NIGHT THE GAME CHANGED takes place this coming Thursday at the historic Park Theatre in Winnipeg(698 Osborne St). AEW’s Megan Bayne will be taking on DEFY Wrestling star “The Rain City Stretcher” Liiza Hall. Also, “The Healer” Harlon Abbott will face “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela.
