For over 2 years now I’ve hosted my radio show, Freak Frequencies (formerly called Hot Local Singles in Your Playlist) on CFUV 101.9 FM, which also got me into organizing live music events.

Over the past 2 years I've:
- Organized 16 events
- Worked with over 56 artists
- Brought out over 2,500 cumulative attendees
- Paid artists over $25,000

I don't usually like to mention the numbers/stats behind my events and whatnot, but I think it is important to highlight how much this radio station and community hub has enabled me, as an individual, to produce events and work in Victoria's performing arts community while supporting myself and artists.

I would not be doing any of this if it hadn't been for my time at CFUV. The training, community connections and confidence that I've gained from this space has been transformative and brought out sides of me that I didn't know were possible.

This event is dedicated to the communities in Altadena and Pasadena, and throughout LA, that have been displaced & affected by the industry-caused fires in the Eaton Valley.

"Altadena represented prosperity. It represented joy. It represented unity and Black excellence. And for that to all burn to pieces, it's just absolutely devastating," said Richard-Craven. Altadena was long considered a haven for Black families who began settling there at the turn of the 20th century and continued trickling in as the years ensued. Spellbound Blues Vol I is out now 💜

It has been an absolute treat to work with on their debut album release. If you saw me thrashing about in my chair while working on my computer, it's probably because I was listening to this. I was worried that listening to these songs over and over again would make me sick of this album by now, but it has only deepened my love and appreciation for Spellbound Blues and Conure Hand

We are excited to announce a show that has been long in the making! Local sweethearts will join us in welcoming back Vancouver's Post-Modern Connection ( ) and Kamloops' Mother Sun ( ) for an night of eclectic indie rock fusion!

🎸In the ever-expanding indie music landscape, Post-Modern Connection has carved a unique space for themselves with their particular blend of indie rock meets jazz rejects, meets surf rock, held together by soulful, crooning vocals and infectious instrumentals.

🕺🏾Vancouver Island’s Neighbourly weds the freedom of psychedelia with layers of pop and funk influences.
This year they have released two EPs, each embracing distinct vibes as a deliberate challenge to explore and add post-punk & Italian disco tracks into their ever expanding repertoire of island groovers.

🎷Mother Sun create melodic and adventurous rock n roll from the sprawling interior desert of Kamloops BC Canada. The four piece has shaped their sound while burrowing in realms of dream pop, psychedelia, jazz, surf, folk, garage rock and more, as explored in their upcoming 2024 record ‘Meadow 6’.

Good Party & Hot Local Singles Presents: Eventide, July 31st, 2024!

Put on your dancing doc martins, .band (Van.) and .ends (Sea.) are taking the stage with locals and .o.n.g.witch

This free, all ages event is produced as part of the Eventide Music Series, returning for its 11th installment.

This show will take place at "Centennial Square" on the stolen, unceded Coast Salish territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən speaking people, now known as the Esquimalt and Songhees nations.
