Still one of my favourite pictures I've ever taken, I woke up at 4am to get up to Lake Louise to capture some pre-sunrise magic and wow did I find it. Not a single person was there, I had the whole area to myself in this late October scene. There was snow, but the lake hadn't started to freeze yet. The contrast between the orange light and blue hour before the sunrise was perfection, so much so that I had to have a large print of this in my hallway.

If every place could be as easy as Iceland to photograph that would be great. It's like a landscape photography cheat code. We went in November and the sun never got high in the sky, I didn't have to wake up super early or go out late for sunrise and sunset and that is just wonderful 🥳

We visited Iceland in November and there was something so incredibly peaceful about the late sunrises, the early sunsets, the windy chill at night, the calm chill in the morning. We drove around the entire island. There were days that we saw only one or two cars, and there was no one at most of the locations we visited. It was very isolated, but very peaceful. We saw most of the main touristy things but really tried to venture off the beaten path (respectfully) and do things at our own pace and on our own time. Van life treated us well with our built in heater, and we even got to shower once during our two week stay! Would I go back? Instantly. Without hesitation. What an amazing part of this world.

Yesterday was hella fun. So glad to be back at it with the boys We worked super hard on our latest album 'second sleep'...
